Burford pushes pills onto her patients even if it is not for their own well-being. No ethics. Not a doctor to take your children to. She's amazing if you are a drug seeker! I am a pediatric specialist and have known Dr. Burford and seen her work for 15 years. I have the utmost respect and admiration for her. She is very knowledgeable, honest, and caring. All our common patients love her. I feel that some of the negative comments about her are unjustified. Some people take personal offence when their expectations differ from Dr. Burford’s recommendations and advice. We need to understand that Dr. Burford makes such recommendations based on her extensive medical knowledge and experience, in the best interest of her pediatric patients. Many people also complain about the long wait. Well, excellent physicians are highly sought after, and they are definitely worth the wait. Personally, when I myself or my family members go see our doctors, more often than not we wait more than an hour; and this is with the receptionist and the physician both knowing that my wife and I are both physicians. I took my 8 month old baby to see her because she was sick,While I was there I mentioned I co sleep and BURFORD was VERY rude and judgemental about it. I have 3 kids and have co slept with all 3, I have a monitor that monitors them AND I'm a VERY light sleeper, like I wake up to EVERYTHING, I'm terrified of SIDS and this way on able to monitor ALL night. I dont appreciate being judged. Instead of helping with her sickness, I got annoyed and left. If you want a PHENOMENAL dr, see Dr. Zia.

Both my daughters have been seeing Dr. Burford for several years. I couldn't be more please with any other doctor. She goes above and beyond even when she's not at work she's working. My daughter has had constant respiratory issues and she's sent in prescriptions after hours and contacted me on the weekend for any of my concerns. For that, I'm very grateful and I don't know what I would do if she left. I highly recommend her. It is worth the wait, which is standard at any doctor's office.
