She was very short and dismissive with questions. Seemed like she was too high and mighty to be there and why she was even consulted. Questions weren’t even a lot, just one or two. Don’t recommend.

She’s a holy terror with her coworkers. Treats people like they are subhuman. It is all an act with her patients.

Does not treat with dignity
My daughter had an unnecessarily humiliating experience during her Dr. visit with Dr. Katherine Gaylie. When the Dr. entered the room for the exam my daughter was asked to pull her pants down in front of the doctor. Then she was positioned kneeling with her naked bottom facing the doctor as the chair was raised into position for the exam all the while with her naked bottom showing and pants and underwear around her knees. A drape was later applied after she was in position for the exam. The Doctor or staff should have had my daughter remove her lower clothing before the Dr. arrived in the room and my daughter should have had a gown or drape on before the procedure. As an RN myself I have never heard of a Doctor telling someone to disrobe in front of them and I was shocked when my daughter in tears shared the details of her Dr. visit. This is a basic failure of upholding the patient's right to be treated with dignity. The doctor's nurse said this was standard practice

My experience was terrible. She performed surgery to remove precancerous cells in my lower colon. Post surgery recovery was horrific, and I expected it to be due to the nature of the procedure. I went for a follow up. She had me on the examine bed, and began to probe.. she told me that some of the cells were not removed, and nonchalantly says she’s removing them now. Next thing I know, she sticks this scope in me, twists it, and began using acid and a scalpel on my colon. . I asked for a numbing agent, but she ignored me. I told her it was too painful. I’m sweating, the pain is unbearable. I ask if she was almost done, and she said, “Only a third of the way done!” Then twists the probe. I told her to stop right now more than once. On top of it all, she disclosed my sexual history to my mother. Maybe she didn’t like me due to my sexual orientation. I don’t know. My new doc told me she performed a botched job, and it caused a fissure. I had to start the process over.

My husband had a somewhat complex medical case and Dr. Galie was just one part in it. Hers was a second opinion in what was to have been a two part surgery, potentially prolonging all the surgery/recovery times and all the attendant risks. Dr. Galie did the procedure in one easy and successful surgery-really streamlining everything. She kept everybody in our big medical team informed. Turns out that’s super important. Five stars.

When I went to Dr Galie I was in pain. She examined me in the office and suggested surgery. She made sure I was okay with having surgery. She gave me some specifics of the surgery but ultimately let me make the decision to go forward or not with the surgery. On the day of surgery she was kind and patient with my nervousness, her nurse was awesome and the surgery turned out well. I have been pain free for 4 years. Thank you Dr Galie.

Dr Galie has no bed side manner...she makes you feel stupid and small. We made an appointment and when we got there there was no appointment in system, someone in office dropped the ball... they let us wait to get in but when we finally seen her, she had to question why we weren't In the system-instead of saying" I'm glad we got to see you, that's what's important."... she was our surgeon also, was rude in hospital too. very unhappy young woman, people are nervous enough than to worry bout her.

Dr Galie takes the time to explain what she is doing and why, in a very uncomfortable situation. When she determined that I needed surgery, she scheduled it on a non-surgery day so that I wouldn't worry and could make a scheduled trip later in the week. She is amazing!
