Okay but...
Not the best physian but acceptable in her treatment of my condition. Her office's lack appropriate followup and timely feedback weighed heavily on my decision to submit this review. A grade 'C'.

Truly compassionate and caring
I’m not sure where these other reviews are coming from but they’re inaccurate. It seems like they don’t have problems with her but with the processes that Baptist Health put in place. She has no wiggle room to provide the care that her patients need which is sad because she is truly one of the kindest, most professional and sincere doctors that I’ve met. I work in healthcare, I work with doctors ALL the time and Dr. Lawson is amazing. If anyone has something bad to say it’s more likely due to the office, not the provider.

Worst rheumatologist
Doesn't seem to care about patients. Only reviews your bloodwork if you have an appointment. Has never checked any of my joints over 2+years of seeing her. Is condescending and rude. Doesn't take criticism well. Insists people on Medicare advantage plans can get subsidies for biologics. Spoke to office financial person who said they don't. Doesn't ask how you're doing at appointments. Think my last appointment lasted all of 5 minutes. Very superficial care

Dr. Lawson has the worst bedside manner of any physician I have ever seen. When reviewing the results of some tests, I was surprised at some of the results. I said to her: “Wow. I’m surprised!” Her response to me was “I feel like I’m being attacked”. A child like response at best. At no time did she do any type of examination on me. Terrible. Just terrible.

Dr. Lawson took my case when I was showing a number of mixed results testing for a serious auto-immune disease. Some tests were positive, others negative. She took a very conservative approach, refusing to jump to the conclusion that I had this disease, and after many months of diagnostics and a second opinion, she was absolutely right. The treatment would have been very hard on me physically, and costly. Not only is she appropriately conservative, but her approach is extremely holistic and thorough, investigating every part of a patient's health, not just the "obvious ones". Her extraordinary empathy is just the "icing on the cake." I always felt that I was in good hands with Dr. Lawson, and my only regret is that she can't be my primary care physician!!!

Absolutely not! She is not knowledgeable at all in her area of medical care. Does not follow thru with medical care or give or make time to assist with continued care. Here is a pill! And that’s all she has for u! No further assistance or care. Worst dr I have ever had and don’t know how she received her license to practice! Horrible Forget it if u need help between apptmnts U only get to speak with an M A and they r not any help except to try and passing u until your next appointment! Because the Dr will not talk to u before then!
