Dr. Kathy Banks, DMD

I went for my 2nd extraction in 2 years and can’t express the calm, expertise, professionalism and warmth the ENTIRE staff exudes!!! Dr. Banks is a TREASURE to the profession and community!!! We are blessed to have her and everyone in her office help us!

i could go on and on and on about Dr Banks and her staff, this office is beyond great, i been a patient of d banks from coastal oral surgery many years ago along with my wife and all my kids, Dr Banks is just great there's nothing negative to say about her as a person, professional. staff is amazing, well educated, always on point when it comes to instructions and questions. receptionist is very sweet and always try to accommodated us since we have a very difficult schedule, as far a s billing i had never had an issue with billing whatsoever. maybe all this people that decided to leave these nasty reviews should educate themselves about how oral surgery works, once you come in for a consultation they provided u with the CODES that u should be reading to your insurance prior to doing anything. its our responsibility as patients. trust me i know i have 4 kids all treated by Dr banks. Again Dr Banks and staff are amazing, well organized office.

I have endured numerous oral surgeries and dental implants and I have never met an oral surgeon half as compassionate and talented at her surgical skills as Dr Banks. I can’t name another doctor I trust as completely as Dr. Banks. She has earned that trust over almost 20 years as her patient. She amazes me every visit with her knowledge and kindness. You won’t find a better oral surgeon. There is nowhere else I would go for oral surgery.

They took almost 2 years to bill me $40 and told me that if it wasn't paid in a week, they were gonna sue me. Their staff were rude when I was in the office and rude when I said that I would not be using their services. I would rather have a swamp witch doctor from Louisiana work on my mouth than have to deal with this office again

My two experiences with the Office of Dr Banks, one being my daughter’s four wisdom teeth removal, and my recent tooth removal, were as I stated in the title of this review, totally Professional beginning with the friendly, competent front desk personnel, to the many employees completing the numerous tasks and the Office Manager available to assist you where necessary. Beginning to end including the follow up I received were all done 5 Star.

Had questions about my treatment and Dr. Banks never returned my phone calls. Office staff was rude and not professional. Was not happy with my treatment and would never recommend Kathy Banks.

Felt very rushed through appointment. Had a very expensive scan done that 2 other oral surgeons told me I didn’t even need for what I was getting done. Felt extremely harassed by the staff when I decided to take my business elsewhere. Will never go there again.

I do not recommend Dr. Banks as my experience in November 2020 was terrible. Her staff incorrectly told me that they participle with my insurance. As a result, I incurred a fee that I otherwise would not have. Additionally, when I requested a copy of the scan taken in her office and paid for out of pocket by me, they gave me a disk that did not contain my images. I had to get another scan taken! When I contacted her to complain office, I received a certified letter from an attorney. The issue remains unresolved.

As a parent of a patient, I felt that I must write this review to hopefully help other parents visiting this site. I’m a no nonsense person always reviewing and investigating before making important decisions. Simply stated, I made the correct decision choosing Dr. Banks and her competent, pleasant staff.

Dr. Banks and her entire staff were awesome from the consult to the surgery I have zero complaints. Danielle in billing has been so sweet and kind answering all my questions and explaining the billing process several times so I understand. I would 100% recommend this office.

Love Dr. Banks!! Very kind, patient and gentle!! The nurses are so sweet and took great care of my daughter.. highly recommend this office!

I had a swollen face an bad infection I didnt think I would be able to be seen as a new patient. Well the staff and Dr.Banks got me in and took care of the issue I was having. Dr.Banks is an angel. The staff is amazing.

I just received another bill 2 years after seeing Dr. Banks- Dr. Banks billing dept. submitted my insurance incorrectly - upon calling my insurance to correct this - a 3 way call was set up with myself, Dr. Banks billing dept. and my insurance. I am covered at 100% for a consult and x-rays- I am still receiving a bill from this dental practice. Another patient experienced a similar experience - my 1st experience EVER dealing with such inept billing personnel. I would suggest Dr. Banks re evaluate this department before anymore patients have to go through a similar situation.

Dr. Banks is a great compassionate Dr. She removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth and have been recovering very well from it. However I am disappointed in a couple things. 1. After I came out of surgery I was told that I was supposed to take medication prior to surgery. I don’t ever remember that being mentioned to me, unless it was mentioned at my consultation that I had 1 month prior to my surgery. Something like that should have been mentioned in the confirmation message. 2. I was looking forward to seeing a video of myself coming out of surgery but my mother was reprimanded like a child to put her phone away. Although this may seem like not a big deal to some to me it is. It was my surgery and should be up to me to decide if I want to be recorded, not the people at the dentist office. Despite these couple issues I still say Dr. Banks is great and would highly recommend her to anyone

Dr Banks it’s amazing! Her stafff its amazing as well!!! Please do not go by these crazy comments that people it’s posting, I been in so many dental offices, oral surgeons and I had never feel the way I feel about a professional doctor like how I feel about dr banks. Give yourself the time to meet her and see how wonderful her and staff is. I had done a revitalize treatment, which change my whole life for good. I feel great about myself. It was a long process but they help me through it. Thank u

I had my wisdoms teeth removed about 6 months ago, not one issue, everything was perfect, DR Banks and staff was so great, all the lady’s are very polite. After my surgery that same day I received a call from her staff to see if I was ok. I found that so nice. I have no insurance, billing department was amazing same as the surgical assistant. Amazing staff. Highly recommended

I had a implant placement of 8/9 of course because it was my two front tooth I felt horrible about myself, I thank god and Dr banks for changing my life. I also do not have insurance, I thank her and her billing department for working things out me. She is definitely a excellent professional and human being.

I just got a bill over 2 years after my surgery. I was paid up! My sister is being sued by Dr.Banks for the same thing. We all need a lawyer.

The best Oral Surgeon in Ocean County. No other oral surgeon has placed as many dental implants as Dr Kathy Banks.
