Dr. Kathy Tieu, MD

Dr. Tieu is a smart medical doctor with a broad range of experience. She has been working with me for several years trying to get my atopic eczema under control. She corresponds with other doctors of mine (Immunologist, ENT specialist, Primary Care Physician) trying get a better handle on how I react to medications and treatments. She has experimented, trying newer medications on me (thinking outside of the box), to see how I react (or don’t react to them). She listens to you, to better understand the problems you are experiencing. She will correspond with you via phone calls, to see how you are reacting to medications she may have put you on. You still have in-office appointments for her to see how your skin is adjusting to treatments. It is good for you to keep a log of how you are reacting to medications, to have detailed information for her.I highly recommend that you make appointments to allow Dr. Tieu to be able to help you.

On June 29 Dr. Tieu removed a mole in my scalp. I felt she was very competent, friendly and explanatory. Over the past 10 days, however, I have called and left messages a total of six (6!) times with a receptionist or the answering machine requesting the results of the biopsy. One receptionist assured me that would inform Dr. Tieu and that she would definitely be calling me later that afternoon or certainly by the next morning. I still do not know the results! As you can surmise, this if very upsetting and disappoint that the staff is so unresponsive and incompetent.

Wonderful to go to a wonderful, caring physician, who is on time! Thank you Dr Tieu!

Always easy to get an appointment even though she’s very busy. She provided me with proper diagnosis and treatment. She takes her time to explain thoroughly in terms you can understand. Her staff is very efficient and caring and always gives you great customers service.

Appears to be very competent, but excessive wait times that are getting progressively worse

Hard to rate cause she fixed one of two major problems. The other is still a problem and when they called to follow up I said it’s still a problem and didn’t get a response. I’m debating going back to ask her why it’s still a huge problem or going to another. She’s very nice.

I was referred to this practice by my PCP. Dr. Tieu is outstanding. Thorough, takes the time necessary to do a thorough examination. Very thorough, knowledgeable and focused. Very personable.

I first met Dr Tieu while she served in the military. I had gone in for a check up with another doctor and later received a call for a followup with Dr Tieu for treatment of my Roseasa. She did a marvelous job in repairing the damage caused by years of the Roseasa. When she left the service an entered private practice I have followed her and still get my checkups with her instead of going to the military hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Tiue to anyone needing services for a skin condition.
