Dr. Bassel is an amazing GI specialist. I have been seeing her for many years and I recommend her often to those needing a solid GI doctor. She is highly intelligent and truly cares about her patients. I have a challenging disease to manage but since she started treating me, my overall quality of life has improved because she understands exactly how to treat it. I can’t recommend this doctor enough.

She is very professional and concerned about my wellbeing. She confers with all my other doctors to coordinate my medications and their diagnosis. She and her husband are both medical doctors. She has the experience and the demeanor of an excellent physician. She has done several colonoscopies and endoscopies on me and necessary surgeries. I have had no problems with her staff. Rarely she has been delayed due a surgery taking longer than anticipated but I want her to take the time necessary.

Dr. Bassel is very informed about medications, food, diseases that affect your digestive tract. She has been able to steer me with my IBS, into the proper foods I am allergic to, the probiotics I needed to take, and the proper foods to eat. It has totally changed my life. It was not done instantly, but over a few years of learning about my body and how it reacted to food and my digestion and proper supplements. I would advise that anyone with a digestive problem make an appointment with her.

She became my defacto doctor when I went into the hospital. On an outpatient level she was very difficult to communicate with. No calls, no appts, rarely answered through the portal and never discussed my medical issues with me. The staff is incompetent and very rude.

The staff is HORRIBLE about returning phone calls, no matter how urgent you make it sound! If I were this doc I would fire every one of them! If you tend to have serious GI health issues come up, you may want to choose another doctor because your phone calls may never get answered by the staff.
