Poor. She became angry that I went to a chiropractor when she canceled my osteopathic manipulation appointment due to her illness. So glad she had her tantrum as I have found a very good physician who listens and treats people properly.

She was very kind and intelligent, giving me a lot of information about conditions I have that I had not been given before. She listened to me and my concerns and eased my worries. I really appreciate the fact that I felt good leaving the doctor's office as that's such a rare thing.

Dr. Hornbrook has always taken the time to answer my questions. She has always given feedback when asked and helped with situations that she wasn't required too. I have never trusted a doctor more.

At no point should a patient be made to feel like a misdiagnosis or the speed at which her referral team works is their fault. At no point should a patient ever have to suffer because their care team, which to be fair included emergency physicians at IMMC, refuses to actually listen to them. I understand when symptoms don't always align, it makes it very difficult, but that is when a doctor and their office should work to reduce the suffering, not prolong it or blame the patient.

I was very disappointed with the care given by Dr. Hornbrook. During the initial consultation regarding treatment for a condition I've had for years, she told me she didn't think I actually needed the medicine and questioned if I even had a condition. She also seemed to care very little about what I had to say and quickly jumped to her own conclusions and opinions. I was very taken aback by this behavior from a physician and healthcare professional. Simply put, I would not recommend her.

Dr. Hornbrook is a very pleasant person, easy to talk with but is not willing to work with her patients nor allow them any say in their medical care. She does very little hands on diagnosing but orders excessive testing, some of which is unnecessary as per AMA standards of care. This is at the expense of her patients and their insurance company. If you have excellent insurance, are wealthy, and would prefer no involvement in your medical care, I would encourage you to choose her as your doctor.
