Horrible & Heartless
If I had the option to give this doctor zero stars I would. Only interested in turnover of patients and had zero bedside manner. We've never experienced such poor treatment in our entire lives and were dealing with a dying relative. This man doesn't deserve to be practicing medicine and should stick to running his spas because he's obviously more concerned with his money than caring for his patients. What a disgrace.

In today's medical world, how often do you find a Dr. that is available if you need him that day? Many times I have called and received an appointment for the same day. He always listens and and is very accurate in diagnosing. A very kind and compassionate Dr., I feel very fortunate in having him as my primary care doctor. The staff is very polite and very helpful and always gets back to you.

After my accident, Dr. Al-Hojerry made it possible for my terminally ill husband and I to be together at a Rehab Center. Only he could have made that happen and I can’t thank him enough.

I have been a patient for 6 years with Dr. Alhojerry. He is always responsive, he even gave his personal number for emergencies. Most recently I saw him for my shoulder injury, he diagnosed the problem immediately and was able to give me an injection in the same visit which cured it! His office staff are wonderful. Cheerful, always laughing and smiling. They get me into an appointment quickly and I never have to wait! And they always have candy!

I have been with Dr. Al-Hojerry for more than 16 years. He used to be very very good. He has helped me with my weight loss and other ailments. His office staff used to be very responsive and they used to be very proactive in reaching out to patients. This has all changed. Of late, for the past years, his office has been so bad. They wont call back after many calls. A simple referral will take for weeks. On top of this. his time with you as patient wont even last for more than 5 mins. He will walk into the room and will leave very quickly. The only time, he spends more time in the room with you to listen is during yearly physical checkup. Even that changed during my recent visit. This time, the physical check was done by a nurse practitioner and he came in to see me, because i asked for him to meet with me. And yet, he came in and left in 10 secs taking me to the front desk. I have few friends who have very similar experience as well. i'm looking for a new PCP, who will listen.

Overly-dismissive is an understatement. Been a patient for 3 years and he still doesn't even know my name. Have never had a visit with him that lasted more than 5 minutes. They even forgot to re-write a recurring prescription on multiple occasions.

Dr. Alhojerry has been my PCP for nearly 20 years. He is an old-school physician, who gets to know you personally and always available for consultation. Coming from another practice where you just felt just another number, finding Dr. Alhojerry was like a breath of fresh air.

I encountered Dr. Alhojerry as a Hospitalist when I had pancreatitis. He refused to give me my meds for PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder. I told him that taking me off suddenly would cause severe withdrawal. Quote: "Just because some dude out there thinks you need those medications, doesn't mean we believe that here!" I went 3 days without meds, not sleeping, & I began to have tingling & tremors. I told the nurse who contacted him. He said it was ok. Next, my vision started blurring, he was messaged & said I was okay, never coming to check. On the third afternoon, he came to tell me my tests were normal now & asked if I was in pain. I said no, & I was discharged. Within 3 hours, I was in severe withdrawal, unable to stand on my own, my body twitching, vision blurred, & an extreme startle response. Finally, I began having difficulty catching my breath & didn't recognize some people. I was brought for treatment elsewhere, & was told this withdrawal can be deadly. First Do No Harm?

Dismissive. Visited on acute and urgent symptoms. Adamant on a diagnosis based off of symptoms, wouldn't entertain questions to possible alternative causative factors or differential diagnosis, lab results disproved prediction. Did not call with results as promised the day they were resulted. Did not call the morning after, did not call back after calling office to discuss results. Very displeased with this doctor and this is not the first time. Will be looking for a new PCP.

Dr. AlHojerry has been our family physician for over 20 years! He is thorough and caring. He is always accessible, even giving patients his cell phone # if needed. He has advocated for our care while in the hospital under another physician/ER care. He is thorough dealing with our cardiologist at MA General for follow-up care here. His Staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. We love Dr. Alhojerry!

I totally agree with Elizabeth's review. I found Dr. Al-Hojerry's care to be rushed, and it was perpetually difficult to reach the office for prescription refills- messages lost and or not returned. There is no system for following up with patients about annual exams, and following a significant trauma, no apparent system for remembering to follow up about emotional health. Additionally, the waiting room includes advertisements for cosmetic treatments such as botox... time for a new doc!
