I tried to leave 5 stars, but my phone wouldn't accept!!!!! Dr. Tochikura is a wonderful, caring, physician who listens very well and always wants what's best for me. She has been my doctor for at least 15 years. I love her.

Absolutely the worst experience
Telehealth
Lying about services provided, time it took to provide them, and the code for the services. Overcharging for services and forcing unnecessary appointments on me to charge more money.

Extra charges for diagnoses not discussed…
This was an annual physical and nothing else. However, I was charged for an additional level IV visit. This is code for a diagnostic visit. I was not diagnosed with anything extra. I received 2 vaccines (pneumococcal conjugate and RSV)because I have asthma and am older than 60. As an ICU nurse who works for the same organization as my provider (UCLA), I am appalled not only that an MD would try and sneak in an extra charge but also because I specifically signed a form before this routine annual visit that I did not want to discuss anything other than being there for my physical exam. Further, this same provider urged me to come in for another visit for trace protein in my urine; a simple repeat urinalysis is all that would be needed . Her office would not grant me that but wanted me to come in for another visit…completely unnecessary. This is not the first time she has tried this in the many years I have seen her. I will not be returning to her or her office.

Dr. Tochikura has been my doctor for many years
Dr. Tochikura has been my doctor for as long as I have been going to Toluca Lake Medical Center (15 years?). She always remembers me and my health challenges. She is one of the few professionals I engage with who I feel is invested in my well-being on a long-term basis.

Best doctor I have ever had!
Dr Tochikura is the most thorough, caring, smart and reflective doctor I have ever had. I believe she is a brilliant clinician. She listens intently and answers thoughtfully. She gets back to online questions quickly. She has a large patient pool, but I never feel she is not accessible within a reasonable time period. I am truly grateful she is my doctor.

Great Guy
I’ve always struggled with my credit report for many years and the hard inquiries. I thought my credit score was way too low for someone with my income level. I’ve done everything to get it up but it’s still not enough. Not until I met a skilled set of professionals in credit building from Reddit and sent them an email to help me, their official email is hackwest at writemedot com, they fixed it perfectly to my taste I just couldn’t believe it, I know we are not supposed to share information like this in here but I believe since it helped me then why not help others too? That’s what any decent human being would do. P.S. I was not paid to do this review.

Great Doctor
She listens. If she doesn't have the answer she will send me to someone who is top of the line who does. Very thorough!

Unfortunately I have to give Dr. Tochikura a horrible review. I used to like her. But she's messing with my very life right now and I guess I have to switch doctors. I have asthma and use Symbicort to stay alive. I have a prescription that works fine at the pharmacy. I tried to use Express Scripts because my insurance said I had to to save money. It's been a week now and Dr. Tochikura is denying the prescription. But when I called her office they never told me that. I'm out of medication now.

Dr Tochikura is the worst doctor I have had the misfortune of seeing. She spent all of 5 minutes with me and did not give me a diagnosis or any after care/treatment instructions. Instead she referred me to another doctor in the practice who is not my PCP.
