Dr. Ayrons is wonderful.
I worked in the medical field for years and appreciate how hard he works. He is down to earth and caring. Oncology is a tough field and I feel he handles it well.I cannot say enough positive things about him. We are fortunate to have him here on the Central Coast.

Experienced, Knowledgeable, Honest & Ethical
My sister recently received treatment from Dr. Ayrons, and we are immensely grateful for his outstanding care and support throughout her cancer journey. He took the time to listen to her concerns and addressed all our questions with clarity and compassion, which immediately put our family at ease.Dr. Ayrons’ expertise is evident in his comprehensive approach to treatment planning. He provided a detailed explanation of my sister's diagnosis, outlining various options and helping her understand the potential benefits and side effects of each choice. We never felt rushed and we were fully informed and comfortable with his treatment decisions. Now we understand why he may be late for appointments—he genuinely values the time he dedicates to his patients. It’s disheartening to see some anonymous 1-star ratings. While I recognize that everyone has different experiences, it’s crucial to consider how these reviews might impact those who could greatly benefit from Dr. Ayrons’s expertise.

Completely Unprofessional
Showed up to an office visit, I got all the interesting facts about his upcoming vacation, his dental care, etc. However, when asked about a follow up to a scheduled procedure, he had no idea what the outcome was. Although, we were able to check the results ourselves on our patient portal. by his own admission, “ I am super embarrassed “ He literally had no idea That what was requested was already done. No follow up, no referral sent out for important treatment plans. Extremely unprofessional.Find another Oncologist

I would give 0 stars if possiable! My daughter went to this man for treatment of squamous cell carcinoma. She underwent chemo and radiation..during her time of treatment 7/2020-3/2021 she saw him face to face less than 5 times. No communication with him personally only the nurses and staff who were very nice and compassionate. After treatment a PET scan was done and she was told tumor was gone. 4 to 5 weeks later she started having pain again just happend to have a follow up appt w the very nice radiation doctor who told her she needed to have another biopsy which showed it was still there, this man, Ayrons went back thru her scans and said "im sorry, it was so small i missed it". Since then my daughter has been thru hell. Ayrons is arrogant, insensitive, non communitive and in gerneral an incompetent oncologist. I would NOT reccomend him to my worst enemy! He has possiably cost my daughter her life.

Dr. Ayrens is cordial; however, he is always overbooked, appointments never run on time and he doesn’t take patient ideas into consideration. If you want to pursue an alternate method of treatment, he shoots down the idea with statistics that aren’t relevant to anything except bolstering his predetermined course of thinking. His staff is also pleasant; however, the practice is disorganized, orders get lost, and the office makes no attempt to communicate with patients outside of visits. Hope you don’t have a problem between visits because leaving phone messages won’t make you feel better. Working with this office will remind you that you aren’t their sickest patient; perhaps when they’ve allowed my condition to worsen, I’ll be treated with more professionalism and urgency.

I have worked in healthcare for 20+ years, engaging with all types of clinicians. Dr. Ayrons has to be the most arrogant and condescending demeanor of any doctor I've encountered. After scheduling time to meet with Dr. Ayrons to discuss my father's ongoing treatment of CLL, including possible alternative treatments and insurance/patient financial assistance, Dr. Ayron's dismissed us outright, basically indicating he was in the profession of diagnosing and treatment and not financial assistance.
