Dr. Martin was my OB while I was pregnant with my first baby back in 2021. Everything was so new to me and I wish I had known more then like I do now and made the switch to a more empathetic and detailed OB. He was always fast and never really gave me any details into my pregnancy as far as what to expect, in fact he rarely even touched me until my very last appointment to see if I had dilated or not. As far as the Doppler ultrasounds and fundal heights, his nurse techs did all those while he was not present. While I was in labor I called his after hours line and a student intern told me Dr. Martin would call me back asap. I never heard from him. After being in labor for over 48 hours, Dr. Waller, who was absolutely God sent, suggested I have an emergency c section due to me not being able to dilate passed 6cm but before I went into surgery he asked how many pounds my baby weighed and I could not tell him because I had not had an ultrasound since the second trimester that his tech performed not him. He gave me a peculiar look which I did not understand until I starting doing my own research as to why. Once I was done delivering while waiting in the recovery room, Dr. Martin walks right passed me a never acknowledge me nor told me congratulations. I wish I would’ve had the wonderful patient-doctor experience like everyone else but it was not the case for me.
