Dr. Kendra Elwood, MD

I voiced my concerns to her for months & she told me that nothing was wrong with my child except she was 'overweight' & had sleep apnea! We started seeing an ENT to have her tonsils removed to clear her airway, so they perform the pre-surgery lab works & prepare for surgery the next day! I wake up the next day & Elwood has sent the DHS to my home stating I was being medically neglectful to my child because the pre-surgery labs stated that my child had a severe medical condition that Elwood brushed off & never tested for! After getting the lab results, she then lied & said I wouldn't bring my kid in for treatment when I had been begging her for months to run tests & look for problems. Turns out Elwood was the neglectful one cause my child had been needing emergency blood transfusions, for months or she could die! I am thankful that the ENT ran those test or I would have been burying my child because Elwood thought her symptoms were from weight! She never once apolo

She has taken excellent care of our son; advocating for him when he was hospitalized, answer all of our questions and providing information and suggestions regarding his overall health and well-being. Son was in and out the hospital due to weight decline. Dr Elwood changed his milk three different times. He still was vomiting a lot. Also lost weight in the hospital. Dr Elwood did a lot of test on him and everything came back normal. He just had acid reflex. The only answer she was able to give me is she didn’t know what was wrong. Before the Covid-19 hit my friend told her to transfer him to Iowa city where the experts were. She just sent him home and weeks later his weight was still declining so she put him on tube feeding in the hospital and he still lost weight, A nurse suggested that he get on a higher calorie diet so that what’s he’s on now. Dr Elwood tried sending him to Iowa city and they declined the transfer due to covid 19 so Mu so was sent home again after spending a week in the hospital with tube feeding. He’s now on a feeding machine witch is very dangerous because he vomit in his sleep. I week went by and DHS end up knocking on my door due to Elwood false Allegations
