Having worked in the medical field for nearly 17 years, I have come across many providers. I would only choose the best for my child, and Dr. Gordon comes highly recommended by my child's pediatrician as well as providers I work with. He has been seeing my child for a number of yrs. now, and he was the only one who knew what was going on with him, when others just wanted to label him. I've never had issues with phone calls or paperwork. All I am concerned want is the best care for my child.

Dr. Gordon has always been a good listener and extremely patient. He is very easy to talk with about problems or situations. If he feels medicines or additional assistance is need he carefully explains them out. I would recommend him to anyone that needed mental health guidance.

Dr. Gordon himself is a nice man. He is understanding and friendly of psychological issues. My schism with him occurred with his speediness in dealing with insurance companies, or lack thereof. Dr. Gordon absolutely refuses to get on the phone with insurance if there is an issue with authorization. As a result, if your insurance company does not have a working fax machine (and some don't), you will be waiting at least a week to get medication. For this reason I would not recommend him.

Dr Gordon is the smartest psychiatrist I've met. He is patient, kind, and has a wealth of knowledge. He explains why he chooses the medicine for my child and answers my questions. I feel like he really gives 100%. I trust him.

He has always been extremely responsive with phone calls. He is in a one-man office with no support staff so you have direct contact with him via cell. You always have to leave a message, but he has been very responsive. He works with children at their level i.e. he sits on the floor or cushions or whatever he feels will make the child comfortable. He is out of the mainstream norm but very professional, especially in how he deals with the children.
