Worst surgeon I've ever dealt with.
I let Dr. Guffey perform an oral surgery and in the process a piece of bone was dislodged and ended up being sewn taught into my gums when they stitched me up. I thought the pain it was causing was just from the surgery and part of the healing process. Three weeks or so later all of my swelling had gone away but I still had a lot of significant pain in the one area. I could now feel the piece of bone and could even move it around a little with my tongue. I had to move it a little every so often just to get some relief from it digging into my gums so bad. Everytime I ate it felt like I was chewing on glass. So I called Dr. Guffey's office and explained what was happening. They scheduled me an appointment the next day. When I went to see him I explained all of this and tried to show him the area. He had a real condescending attitude acted like he could care less and I was just waisting his time. Told me to just deal with it for 3 more weeks rather than taking 10 minutes to remove it.

Be prepared to wait and wait and wait
Accompanying adults are forced to sit and twiddle their thumbs in their waiting room while the patient is having their procedure. Accompanying adults are not allowed to leave and come back to drive the patient home. A complete waste of time for the accompanying adult and an archaic policy!

Staff was super nice but He was very condescending and arrogant. No bedside manners at all. I would go as far as say extremely rude with no personality at all.

Dr Guffey’s office has owed my husband over $1500 for over 6 months. They insisted he pay $1700 up front in case our insurance didn’t pay. Long story short it paid and the office girls refuse to send a refund. Surgery was done inn Aug 23 and went perfectly but here we are on Feb 21 with no reimbursement on his money.

He was very condescending to us. I asked about the procedure my wife was about to undergo, and he wrote off our concerns as if we were inconveniencing him. Wow. I guess you can spend years going to med school but they still can't teach you manners.

I was referred to Dr. Guffey by my family dentist. After the examination of my problem, he just said that isn't my area of expertise. I was referred yet again. The office/billing staff was rude when I asked why I paid a copay, with BCBS as primary and Medicare as secondary. I was told I had to wait for insurance to pay before I could get my $30 back. This is not how medical billing works! I would never recommend anyone to this office!!
