Dr. Kenneth Karlin, MD

Dr. Karlin is a very good ophthalmologist from a purely technical perspective. However, in my opinion, his interpersonal skills and beside manner are sub-par. His approach feels very mechanical. Dr. Karlin clearly knows and is good at removing cataracts. However, his temperament makes the office visits unpleasant. His approach shows that he is too busy to provide good counsel - he never proactively explains the condition, medicial effects, operation procedures, etc. Instead he refers you to printed material that is poorly organized and confusing. When you do ask questions, his responses are terse and he again refers you to the printed material. Frankly, he comes across as arrogant, rude
