Dr. Kenneth Kaufmann, MD

I've seen him a few times now. He seems nice, but almost in a condescending way? Like he's humorist your concerns rather than listening to you. Very hands off with treatment, and not very helpful trying to let you know what your issue might be from. It's only ever the most common cause, and APPARENTLY it'll just sort itself out. I wonder then what exactly is the point of going there? Yeah. There are way better providers out there that will actually treat you. (Also note the Christian mission trip posters from the hospital corporation on the waiting room wall. I only want science from doctors)

I just had a vulva biopsy with Dr Kaufmann and he did not wait at all after the shot to cut the area for biopsy. It was so painful I almost screamed and was shaking all over! I would think that he would have to wait for it to be numb. I should have asked more questions before.

Arrogant practitioner. Awful bedside manner. Probably a great doctor if you would simply agree with his every opinion. I wish I had never encountered him during the birth of my second son. If you deal with postpartum anxiety or depression, STAY AWAY from this man.

I love Dr, Kaufmann!! He has been my OB provider for years. He has always had the best bedside manner, very caring and compassionate and addressed any questions and concerns that I have had. He has seen me through IUD’s, babies, and 2 surgeries (which he is also the only doctor I have seen help the OR staff set me up for surgery) and I haven’t had any issues. I really feel like there needs to be more doctors like him!!!

Hands down the most compassionate person I have ever met. There needs to be more providers like him, not just in OB but in all areas of medical.

Dr Kaufman is a good ob gyn doctor he save my life and I appreciate him a lot I wish him the best I’m going to miss him

Dr. Kauffman is a great doctor. He performed my hysterectomy a little over a week ago. He was thorough and knowledgeable pre surgery and post. I had virtually no pain afterwards. He did a great job!!

I just had my first prenatal appointment with Dr. Kaufmann and he was very patient and listened to all my concerns. He took time to give me detailed information about everything. I left feeling very confident that he will handle the delivery of my baby professionally and with great care.

Horrible. Will be filing a formal complaint through the hospital as the story is long. No respect, no bed side manners, did not show confidence, did not respect the mother’s wishes to have delayed cord clamping, and told the labor support person to shut up. Not only once, but twice, because she was advocating for the mother. Let that sink in for a minute. Would not go to Lakeland for prenatal care in fear that he would be the on call physician during my delivery.

Absolutely one of the best in his field! Dr. Kauffman performed my hysterectomy a few weeks ago, he was so thorough in explaining everything that was going to happen and answering any questions I had. I didn’t have to take any pain meds after at all afterwords.

I would never recommend him. He should NOT be doing surgeries he has caused at least 4 (maybe more) women to have to have colostomy bags. He lies about his surgery outcomes to the families. Other doctors have to clean up his messes. Lakeland should really monitor their doctors better. But he does need to have all his cases reviewed. And the ER needs to be more observant also when these patients come in with complaints after surgery. Lakeland needs better teachers.

I recently lost a baby and had my follow up appointment with Dr Kaufmann and he literally spent 5 minutes in the room. All he said was sorry for your loss see you in a few weeks for birth control. I had to tell him I’m in pain. Didn’t examine me or anything. My husband was with me as well and he was not happy!

Dr. Kaufmann is an amazing doctor. He is very trustworthy, and understanding of your needs. He never makes you feel stupid for asking a question and always makes you feel comfortable. I love this doctor and would recommend him to anyone!!!!

Excellent Doctor! Leaves you feeling safe and like he truley cares about the patient. He shows support for the family as well. Not just excellent but extorniary .
