Outstanding spinal fusion
I had a spinal fusion 2 years ago. Everything was outstanding. My back pain is gone. Dr. Little walks on water, in my opinion.

Feeling great!
After suffering with extreme back pain and trying everything to avoid surgery I finally had no other choice and now I wish I had done it sooner. I had a spinal fusion on both my lower back and neck. The recovery was tough for the first 6 weeks but now I am 3 months out and feeling great, it's nice to be able to move without pain. His staff was always very nice and helpful and Dr. Little was kind and respectful and explained things very well. Thanks to Dr. Little and Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy I am living life again.

Outstanding Performance
In 2018 I had a complex cervical surgery that Dr. Little and his staff knocked out of the park. I had lost all feeling in my right hand and now I feel great. Awesome job!

Cannot get a human or a answer to a question
The office is impossible to work with. You literally can not get a human to answer the phone. It's a giant push this, push that and leave a message. St. Lukes makes a big deal of their MyChart messages. The nurse might reply to you but you will never get a response from the doctor or the PAs. The answer is always "you can make an appointment". A lot of his patients drive hours to see him and then wait for hours rather than getting a simple answer over the phone.

He/the office have NO respect for your time
We drove 3 hrs to a pre-op appointment, waited 2 1/2 hours to be seen. When he finally arrived he was very nice and spent time with us but not a word of apology or acknowledgement that we waited that long. We drove 3 hrs back for a post-op visit. After 1 hour we asked the front desk, "how much longer?" "you're next" we waited longer. Asked again. "probably about another hour". What kind of business doesn't bother to tell you they are 2 hours behind? Doesn't suggest you can go get a bite to eat? The waiting room was full of patients in pain and elderly, all accompanied by another human helping them but none of these people deserved any consideration because the DR WAS BUSY (so I was told when I complained to the office manager). One elderly woman asked, "if I go get some lunch and I'm not here when you call my name what happens?" "you will have to reschedule". So rather than risk another long day of travel/waiting, she sat back down. It was pathetic how little they cared.

Dr Little has been my neurosurgeon since 2011, and he is by far the only doctor I have met in this specialty that I would ever give a 100 per cent rating in every way! He never acts rushed, even though I know he is, and I truly believe cares about my pain and me! He is always willing to explain in a way I understand, and I always leave feeling heard! God bless you Dr Little and all your staff! I am better for having you as my neurosurgeon and my neck is doing so much better thanks to your expertise!

Dr. Little performed a complex spine surgery on my c-2, c-3 area of my spine spine by removing bone that had grown into the interior of my vertebrae compressing my spinal column. He did an excellent job an I have had no complications.

Dr. Little's expertise is highly regarded, and he did take me from being in a very impaired state (major numbness, high level of pain, quite unsustainable) to very nearly 100% after operating on L3-L4 (microdisectomy) in Dec 2020. Unfortunately, the office protocol for scheduling and seeing patients is completely unacceptable. After paying THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars for expert treatment (and again, DR. LITTLE did great), I would expect that their staff and, yes, Dr. Little, can make their own patient appointments in a timely fashion. Today, I left after a 45-min wait and still no doctor, the third time this has happened. The PA came in 27 minutes into the appointment (the third of three times this has also happened), and was 100% unapologetic for the delay while offering no further information about when Dr. Little might be in. I expressed my frustration, waited until the 45-minute mark, and quietly exited. The first two appointments were similar but with even longer delays.

I saw Dr. Little and his team for lower back problems. An MRI showed my entire lumbar spine a mess, but my symptoms were only at one level. Dr. Little said, "I treat the patient, not the MRI." This very much impressed me. He did the least amount of surgery required to fix my problem, and achieved excellent results.

My stenosis had been chronic for almost a year when I walked into Dr Little's office to seek help. After exhausting my options, we decided on a lumbar laminectomy with fusion, & set Nov 13, 2018 for surgery. Prior to & throughout my post-surgical treatment, Dr Little and his excellent staff, Liz, Charisse, and others, kept me informed & eased me through recovery. It's been about 3 months and, following restrictions to the tee & some PT sessions, I am pain-free & will be golfing in mid-March!

Dr. LIttle has performed 4 back surgeries on me beginning in 2009-2014. 2 of the surgeries involved 8 vertebrae. He is carrying, kind, technically excellent. I wouldn't see anyone else. His PA Charisse Mack is also excellent in every way.
