New Patient
I switched from Mindy Shook to Dr McClure and my first visit went great. I already had bloodwork done and he went over everything with me line by line. He talked with me and asked if I had any questions or concerns. I really like him he’s very pleasant and his staff has always been courteous to me. Anytime I call I’ve always been helped. I have no complaints. I’m glad I chose him to be my doctor.

Most incompetent nursing staff
I have never been so ignored like I have been with Dr. McClure and nursing staff. While Dr Mcclure is a decent doctor, it is inexcusable to have your nurse and CMA, that handle prescription requests and referrals, to be completely uncommunicative with his patients. I have sent endless voicemails and emails, even after complaints, to continue to be ignored till this day. When I finally do get a response, there’s no acknowledgment of the delay but what I do get is attitude or excuses. This is totally unacceptable.

So for, I am really glad I chose Dr. McClure
I am new to town and thoroughly impressed with Dr. McClure. My initial appoint was to establish a new patient relationship and get a Dr. on board to authorize labs and prescription refills.Getting an internist, with any experience, in Longview to accept a new patient is not easy but Dr. McClure came highly recommended by a trusted friend so I kept trying and got an appointment. I agree with many posters regarding his office staff. They act more like government employees than part of a caring health care team. But he is not them. He is calm, attentive, obviously intuitive and very insightful,... and just plain friendly. Easy to talk to and showed no inclination to force his biases on me (the reason I left my last Dr.) but more inclined to educate and let me choose.Getting: refills, labs and follow-up appointments has been a breeze.Over all I am glad that I chose Dr. McClure.

The staff is horrible! Just atrocious. Kenneth McClure's bedside manner is one that no Dr. should ever strive for. He will tell you what to think and how to think. After the discussion that you have with him about your problems, he will word it in his report to his liking, not yours. He will blame you for things that are not true, even when you show him proof that it is. I picked my records up when I left to see what he actually put in them. I'm so glad I did, so many lies. I really don't know how he has been in business this long. Please find another Dr. I wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy.

I formerly left a great review of Dr. McClure, but his staff have completely changed my mind. They are worthless. As much as I like Dr. McClure, I will be changing my primary care physician, because I can't deal with them anymore.

Dr McClure takes time to listen and to explain. Also, when I was hospitalized after an accident, he came to my hospital room at least once or twice a day even though he wasn’t required to do so because I was under the care of a surgeon. Glad to have a doctor who cares about his patients.
