Dr. Kent Cassmeyer, MD

We fired Dr Cassmeyer but our son did not. He went to him in March because of some urinary tract symptoms. Dr Cassmeyer decided it was more important to treat his weight rather than order a simple PSA test. In late July my son s symptoms continued so he made an appointment with the nurse practitioner and she order the test. His PSA was over 25.6. She immediately ordered an MRI. he has a very aggressive form of prostate cancer. If Cassmeyer had done his job my son could have had 4-5 more month to treat it. Plus it may not have been so bad nor gone so far.

Medicine is changing, now we have video appointments. I've had two, and it is convenient, but sometimes I miss the face-to-face. That being said, Dr Cassmeyer's approach is similar to an inperson visit. He listens, has the facts at hand via his computer, and prescribes accordingly. I like to work collaboratively, with my physician, having a health-care background, and he does. He may not agree with my approach sometimes, but understands, where 'm coming from. And its that patient-centered approach that I like, and others desire. Thanks you.

I have been using Dr Cassmeyer for about a year now and he is great. He is very personal and really takes an interest in your health and is extremely good about explaining everything to you and making sure you understand it ... I moved down from Illinois about a year ago and I feel very grateful that I was able to find Dr Cassmeyr as my Family Physician !
