Dr. Kevin Hooker, MD

Even with a history of an ectopic and having spotting, he wouldn't see me until after 8 weeks pregnant. My appointment was rescheduled 3 times before I first went in. I waited almost 2 hours to see him (which I believe he had an unexpected c section so I can forgive that) but then he spent about 2 minutes doing my ultrasound and left. Didn't feel cared for at all, felt like I was an inconvenience being there.

He’s my OBGYN and delivered my baby, while he’s not going to sugarcoat anything, he’s a straight shooter and will make sure you receive the best care. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced, there’s not a lot of doctors in Havasu that deliver babies, he’s busy and probably over worked, but still makes sure his clients are taken care.

but they are not who you are trusting your health with, he is. He is not someone to trust and I certainly do not trust him. I had to post my review in parts due to the limited characters I can use. I hope all parts of my review are posted because I am extremely upset and offended by Dr. Hooker. He is the worst and I don’t recommend him to anyone. He is a horrible human being with no care or compassion for women, their bodies and their health.

When I was having twins he told me one baby was absorbed by my body which was false. I had a miscarriage and when I did turns out there were TWO still there but not viable. This guy caused me extra distress. He’s an IDIOT and doesn’t think Covid is real. Don’t go to this guy. He’s a joke of a doctor.

Dr. Boomer was RUDE! I was sent there for a follow up from an US for ovarian cysts. He didn’t even explain my results to me. Just badmouthed my primary doctor and sent me on my way! I do not recommend his services.

I just went in today for my first visit with Dr.Hooker. I have a family history of endometriosis, and have had irregular menses since 2015. I had a miscarriage back in June and have had uterine pain for months which has been getting worse and an ovarian cyst. I really would like answers as to what is happening with my body. Dr.Hooker was very rushed, he probably wouldn’t have talked about any concerns unless I brought them up. Once I did, he basically told me where I’m feeling pain isn’t in my uterus, (phrased in such a way to make me feel like a child) and when I went on to explain about the cyst in my ovary his response was “oh, so now you’re saying it’s something else huh?”. I felt like I was bothering him asking questions, I did not feel important to him as a patient and he comes off as a very rude man. His office was nice and clean, his staff was very kind, but he was not. If you are looking for a Dr to thoroughly evaluate your health, and address all concerns this is not the one.

Just went in a couple days ago,bad first impression.The receptionists are not friendly or welcoming.my visit was very short,if I hadn't brought up my concerns he wouldn't have asked,he seemed irritated with my questions and and his answers were rude.I have severe morning sickness lost 20 lbs in 1 month been hospitalized twice for dehydration and he still wasn't concerned.He said my baby will be ok even if I only survive off of water for the first 12 weeks.No concern for my health.finding another

Office staff was great. It was my first visit. Dr. Hooker was pretty abrupt, asked me what was wrong, I said it is just my annual checkup. He said if nothing is wrong, why are you here? Don't think I will be going back.

I had a hysterectomy and a bladder sling for my incontinence with Dr. Hooker and he was nothing but professional. Great outcome very satisfied.

Been to his office 3 times for annual exams and birth control. 1st visit never met him. 2nd year I met him and he was okay but the visit was really short. 3rd year the visit was also very short and I had concerns over a kind of birth control and he just told me I was wrong and prescribed it to me anyway. I felt like he didn't listen to my concerns. Paps are recommended every 3 years and I asked not to do it this year and the nurse said I didn't have too but they proceeded with it anyway.
