Torn Meniscus with Dr. Kessler
I had a torn miniscus in what they call the white-white zone of the medial miniscus. this is the area that has little to no blood supply. Dr. Kessler recommended this partial meniscuotomy where they remove the tear and smooth out the edge (debridement). i did not do any therapy prior but i had this problem for almost a year if not longer. i was hesitant to go forward with surgery without first at least trying therapy but Dr. Kessler did not believe that therapy would help given where the tear was located and the type of tear (complex tear). and i think becuase i had virtually no arthritis in my knees, it was deemed a safe surgery. there is some chance of early arthritis later on in my old age but the pain was so annoying i figured i'm going to live for today and deal with any poor outcomes when that time comes, if it comes.we went forward with the surgery, it took about 40 min and i met the dr after surgery and he said it went well. walked out the outpatient surgery with cr

Dr. Kessler is a Professional Fantastic Surgeon!
I had nerve damage in my left wrist and elbow. I am a lefty just so you know. I have had two nerve conduction studies and the last one was well over a year old. I hesitated on surgery after seeing two separate surgeons. The first one was very old ( not the issue) but when he showed me what and where carpel tunnel and the ulner nerve transposition surgery would happen on my arms, both of his hands were shaking. I made another appointment with a neuro and he told me he wasn't familiar with the ulner nerve surgery but could do the wrist. I got turned off from the surgery until a few months ago where the numbness, crushing burning pain got intense. I researched several doctors and found Dr Kessler. He looked at me and the nerve conduction study. He was to the point and was able to schedule the surgery soon after. I had the surgery on January 23, 2025. It went off without a hitch. One week later, had my checkup and everything was perfect. No pain or numbness. The best Dr and office staff!

Difficult rotator cuff surgery due to osteoporosis (shoulder) which was an unknown prior to surgery. Other docs had recommended 'reverse shoulder replacement' but Dr. Kessler felt he could to a repair and I am so thankful that he did - recovery was difficult due to needing to be immobile for 6 weeks post op which 'froze' my shoulder- but once again, after visiting and doing physio at his office and consulting with Dr. Kessler - I am quite pleased - not 100% yet I am pleased with about 80% at present and still improving about 16 months post-surgery. Dr. Kessler is an excellent surgeon and his physio Matt was excellent too

Even if you can't run because of pain, LEAVE!
Worst managed office in South Florida.Dr. was nearly 90 minutes late, and just before he entered the exam room,he was in the adjacent exam room talking to a colleague about a golf date.Pompous.........his time is the only time that matters.

Surgery ... no thanks.
I already knew I had bone-on-bone osteoarthritis in my left knee, which was confirmed after he took an x-ray. I asked for my options. He said, 1. cortisone shots (which I know can provide only temporary relief), 2. hyaluronic acid injections (which I knew can also provide only temporary relief), or 3. knee replacement surgery. I felt I was being put on the fast track for surgery. In answer to my question if diet, supplements, or exercise would help, he replied that they wouldn't. On my own, I found a supplement to help relieve my problem by 80%--liquid glucosamine.

Could not walk. Right knee not holding me up. Emergency room x ray showed irritation but no break. Dr visit not satisfactory. Dr. Kessler found fluid in knee, removed fluid, cortisone shot and predisone pill pack. walked out of office. Follow up very satisfactory. Dr and staff excellent.

What kind I say? Dr. Kessler is the best ortho in town. I have been going to him for over a decade. He has been with me through both knee surgeries and shoulder surgery. I have healed wonderfully with him and never had any issues from his surgeries. He is tough but he is the best. I like how he will exhaust all possible scenarios before recommending surgery. This is the doctor to visit for all of your ortho needs. I have received various injections, been casted, pre and post op and wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I have been seeing Dr Kessler for about 20 years. He took over my knee because my previous Dr. retired. He did several procedures over the years, and has always been the best, most professional, and skilled surgeon. I have had quick recoveries, and he has been responsible for me being able to continue with my active lifestyle. I got back to working out 4-6 days/week doing HIIT, and being in great shape for a guy my age.

I have been a patient of dr kessler for 14 years. Elbow surgery for a chronic case of tennis elbow. Have not had any issues whatsoever since. Left knee Meniscus surgery 13 years and full replacement on the right knee 7 years. Both knees are in great shape today. Various other minor problems that were taken care of without surgeries. I have referred many friends to him and all have had great success. Personally I would never use another orthopedist

Dr. Kessler performed a left ACL replacement in 2002 (still going strong). He recently did an orthroscopic repair on my right knee; I had a very quick recovery, minimal discomfort and am now pain-free. I am very pleased and happily recommend Dr. Kessler...he is an Orthopedic Rock Star! Thank you.

I was informed by his office that they took my insurance. When I went for my appointments, they collected my in network doctor copay of $10. Turned out a needed surgery. So when we scheduled, they couldn't tell me how much it would cost. A week before surgery, his office still had no answers on how much it would cost. So I called my insurance company and found out that he was an out of network doctor!!! THIS PLACE IS ALL ABOUT $$$ not you or your health.
