Dr. Kevin Kunkel, MD

I first heard of Dr. Kunkel over a year ago as I was weighing up my options for major weight loss reconstructive surgery. He and his PA took an incredible amount of time to explain the procedures I wanted done, the risks and realistic results. He was kind, professional and extremely polite. This is not my first-time meeting with a cosmetic surgeon; however, he certainly is my go-to from this point on. He has an outstanding reputation amongst bariatric patients who are able to achieve beautiful results with the skill and attention to detail paid by Dr. Kunkle.

Staff great!! His bedside manner great and I scheduled surgery. He is a good listener and well informed on current procedures. He took his time. He came highly recommended. I will have him do my surgery.

The worst doctor i've ever interacted with. we pointed out he didnt' fix anything we agreed upon and he litterally said "go see another doctor" The fix seemed simple but he didn't care and told us to go see our brothers doctor. I'm in shock his behaviro was so unprofessional, STAY AWAY !!!

kunkel messed up my eyes.. total disaster and then blames the patient.. total nightmare.

If sociopathic met antisocial disorder, it would create something like Dr. Kunkel. He’d rather spend his time criticizing other surgeons than let his work speak for itself, which screams incompetence and shortcomings as a surgeon. If you’ve had any cosmetic surgery done by a prior surgeon, get ready for the less-than-satisfactory outcome to be blamed on the prior surgeon’s job. Spend the extra money and go to a real skilled plastic surgeon.

Dr. Kunkel did my explant and lift! I could not be happier with my results! He has an AMAZING bedside manner and his staff is top notch! Would recommend to anyone!!

Wonderful, he and his office advocated with insurance for my sister-in-law and a much needed breast reduction. I took care of her immediately post operatively and she had minimal pain, minimal bleeding and great results. I worked for a group of plastic surgeons for several years and know a good result when I see it. She could not be more thrilled with this life changing surgery. And it would not have taken place without him and his staff working so hard. We are grateful for doctors like this and thankful he is here in Tulsa.

Dr Kunkel performed surgery on me to remove my implants. Although the type of surgery I had was pretty invasive, I’ve had minimal pain, and the job he did turned out better than expected. He is very personable and has a great bedside manner. I would highly recommend him. I drove 10 hours away from home for him to treat me and it was all worth it.

He preformed two surgeries on me and one on my daughter as an infant. All three went phenomenal and look GREAT! We love Dr.Kunkel! He is always so kind and chipper with my daughter she loved him. We will absolutely be using him for her continued surgeries. The front staff are always a joy and I love seeing those ladies!

Dr. Kunkel explained the procedure to me and listed what he would do and why. During this explanation it was evident that he was up to date on the current medical literature and that he was using the latest techniques that would leave the best results. My surgery took some stubborn fatty tissue off of my abdomen and had me looking great afterwards

Well my wife is in surgery now to fix what Dr. Kunkel botched. Do not recommend using him.

I’ve had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kunkle. I was referred to him by another surgeon who said he could do the best job available for me. I had skin cancer removed from my scalp 2 weeks ago. It has been a very painful recovery but he has completely exceeded my expectations for pain management. His office has been very compassionate and accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Kunkle.

The biggest ego I have ever encountered. He pretended to know how to do a complicated procedure on my child. Then waited a couple of weeks till the day of the surgery to tell us he couldn't do it. He used an excuse that made no sense. I felt thankful he never got a chance to do surgery on my child but he wasted a ton of time that my child could have a compentent surgeon do the procedure. I'd say don't waste your time. Plenty of competent surgeons in Tulsa.

Can't believe this guy actually passed his boards!! Terrible bed side manner. Spent most of my last visit criticizing other doctors!! Don't waste your money;(((

Dr. Kunkel came highly recommended by anesthesiologists, nurses and hospital staff who have worked with him in the O.R and at bedside. He also was the plastic surgeon who operated on my mother in-law after a horrific accident. I can vouch for his skills. I had many consultations with other surgeons, but after doing some research and meeting with him and his nurse i felt very comfortable. My surgery is scheduled and I can't wait for the results.

Did not even try to do his job.

I had a breast reduction from him and my breast are flat, low and uneven. He said he only got paid $800. from my insurance as if thats why he did such a poor job. Don't use him, please!!!

Horrible experience with him covering on call for Dr. Berry. My nice needed pain medication after a seven-hour facial surgery for multiple broken bones and my sister could not get him to call back to get her pain medicine called in. And when he did he was rude and didn't even look to see that she needed liquid because her jaw was wired shut.
