Lacks compassion, understanding and knowledge
After reading the reviews, gaslighting seems to be a reoccurring theme with Dr. Leahy. An Otolaryngologist has a great deal of responsibility because they need to be knowledgeable with CNS (brain & spine), gastroenterology, pulmonology as well as pituitary among others. The ear, nose and throat are host to all of the major bodily systems and shouldn't be trusted to someone lacking knowledge and understanding like Dr. Leahy. I wouldn't be surprised if actions have lead to serious injuries or death by now but can assure you they have caused me a great deal of pain and suffering. Please avoid this provider, do your research, advocate for yourself and do not allow a second opinion to contact him. He will do his best to undermine your care and cover himself. My fractured thyroid cartridge was insignificant to Dr. Leahy but has destroyed my lung, spine and life thanks to him.

If I could give him zero stars I would. I Went to see this doctor about some issues I was having with my throat and ability to swallow. He basically told me that the symptoms I was experiencing was psychological and didn’t treat me. Instead he had me do tests that he and his staff never followed up with me about regarding my results. I had to call to follow up with this doctor about my test results which is unheard of to me. Usually the staff sets up a follow up visit before you leave the office. I ended going with another ENT from Virtua who was able to treat my symptoms. I don’t recommend seeing this doctor at all.

Dr. Leahy performed my daughter's tonsillectomy and made a tough surgical procedure easier to deal with. I highly recommend him.

Nurse, Diane was terrific. Thorough questioning, careful listening and good explanation of what to expect from exam. Made a big impact on my experience. I also appreciated that the reception staff were not wooden and yet were efficient. Dr. Leahey was personable, gentle during exam (which included putting a fairly lengthy instrument down the throat) and gave good explanations of possible issues and follow up actions. Definitely inspired confidence.
