Dr. Kevin Leffers, MD

No compassion, does not knock before entering, minimizes and downplays patients pain. Will NEVER go back to him again. What a waste of time and a humiliating experience. No one wants to go through trauma and get re-victimized at a vulnerable time. Went to another doctor that broke down in less than 5 minutes of what the problem was, how long the healing process would take, and had great bedside manners.. so glad I went elsewhere.

After 2 visits 6 weeks of therapy and an arthrogram all at a total cost in excess of $5000, Dr. Leffers told us that he had no idea what was causing our daughter’s elbow pain. We were at a total loss on what to do next so we took a chance on a sports centric chiropractor who diagnosed the issue in five minutes and gave her some neck stretches that alleviated the issue immediately. We are extremely dissatisfied with the wasted time and money we experienced.

All my visits Dr Leffers seemed to genuinely care at what was going on with my arm/hand. The first visit is so important because that’s the surgeon who could be performing your surgery. As far as for my surgery, I knew I had chosen wisely. His staff at the hospital was amazing. I’ve worked 46 years in the Orthopedic Industry helping people to walk again without pain. I’m very thankful to him and his staff.

Dr. Leffers was kind. His confidence reassuring. Easy on the eyes, too. ;o)

I have never had a nicer more caring doctor than Dr. Leffers. I like that he takes the time and called me the night before surgery in the morning after surgery instead of having his nurse call.

Dr. Leffers has taken time to explain my diagnosis and upcoming procedures. He's followed my post surgery condition for months. Great, caring, physician and surgeon.

Dr. Leffers is patient and caring. During appointments he doesn't rush into the room and leave quickly. He takes time for his patients. He always asks if I have any questions and waits to hear the whole question before answering. He is very encouraging. His "bedside manner" is gentle.

He was very friendly answered all the questions that I had. And called after surgery to make sure I was doing okay.

Dr. Leffers & all the staff at F.W.O have been wonderful!! I couldn’t ask for better care than what I have received! The N.P. at Orthostat that treated me first were also amazing, including all the nurses there too! I love that I received all my care in the same building! Emergency treatment, to surgery, then follow up appointments. They really have patient centered care figured out! Thank you to everyone that works there!!

Dr Leffers and the staff at the hospital were very professional and attentive. I’ve had procedures done at other hospitals but nothing compared to Fort Wayne Orthopedic.

Dr. Leffers was professional yet gentle in relating my options for carpal tunnel surgery. I had had symptoms for at least 12 years but kept putting off surgical repair on my dominant right hand. He did not offer false hope that all of my symptoms of numbness would disappear but he did assure me that surgery would help the numbness from getting worse. He did an open procedure and the surgery was a total success. My feeling returned to my fingers and I was using my right hand as soon as the bandage was removed. I do a lot of needlework and I was actually able to stitch within a matter of days. I highly recommend Dr. Leffers. He and his office followed up after surgery with phone calls and email communications. Do not hesitate to call on him.

Overall experience was positive. Surgery went well and my hand is healing fine with better motion already than before the surgery.

Dr. Leffers is a very personable, friendly, & caring person. He is an excellent diagnostician and surgeon. His staff is friendly & competent. A+++!! The daily check in E-mails with presented questions, suggestions, and optional questions/comments by the patient are great.

Went in with wrist pain in Fort Wayne, IN. Dr Leffers was incredibly kind and knowledgable. Surgery was approached only as a last resort. When we were forced to do surgery, after nothing else had worked, he was quick, clean, and effective. I should be playing the guitar again in just a few weeks. His work honestly allowed me to continue something that I loved and thought would never be able to do again. Thank you.
