Dr. Lutta performed microfracture surgery on my ankle on December 5th. I am continuing to recover. Thankful for the care that OrthoVirginia, Dr. Lutta, and his surgical staff provided.

Dr. Lutta is the kindest most caring Doctor. I have had surgery with him and many follow up appointments and he cares very much for your well being…if you have a questions and message him in you my chart, he responds quickly and gives you the answers and assurance.

Dr Lutta has treated several members of our family over the years. He is always professional and provides us with a full understanding of any issues. Dr Lutta takes time to explain the options of all treatments as well as possible outcomes. He is prompt with his appointments, yet he spends as much time as needed with each patient at every visit. On October 8, I fractured my fifth metatarsal at the start of the run at a triathlon. On October 11th, I saw Dr. Lutta and he performed surgery on October 13th. I was scheduled to compete at the World Triathlon Championships in Abu Dhabi November 25th by representing the USA in my age group. Surgery went very well, I took the recommended drugs and vitamins and used the ultrasound exogen machine every day. My post-op appointment was October 26. I was given the go ahead to start swimming at the end of October. I started cycling the first week of November. On November 25, I competed and finished the race in the middle of my age group. Without Dr Lutta and his amazing staff listening to what was important to me, getting me into see Dr Lutta in the McLean office and getting me into surgery as soon as possible, I would have missed my dream of competing at Worlds. This year Dr. Lutta made my dream come true. I cannot thank him enough or recommend him more highly.

Extremely efficient visit with all normally in/office forms handled by MyChart. No wasted time. X-rays in the office, Dr. Lutta examined my ankle and explained what was happening referencing the X-ray. Laid out treatment options clearly and left time for questions. Provided prescription, follow-up instructions and expected time to heal. Highly recommend.

Dr Lutta removed hardware from my broken ankle. At 74 years old I was very anxious about under taking the surgery. Dr Lutta has an amazing way of showing me patience and he has an extremely calming and caring nature about his practice which he has displayed toward me on each of my visits. 4th follow up visit on my fractured ankle and foot.Recommended wearing a foot brace and see him again in 6 weeks. His assistant wasn't sure insurance will cover the cost of brace. I passed. Will continue on home excercises. Dr Lutta is nice and courteous

I suffered from a severe ankle fracture in 2019. Dr. Kevin has been in charge of my recovery from A to Z. Including surgery, tips for physical therapy and regular monthly check-ups. Dr. Kevin cares deeply about his patients and is incredibly responsive.
