Dr. Kevin O'Brien, MD

Although I only saw Dr. O'Brien once, he spent considerable time with me. He went over all my medications, their purposes and side effects and I felt like I understood everything that was going on. I felt he was sincerely concerned and thorough about my condition and treatment.

Dr. O'Brien and his Staff are exceptionally and genuinely concerned. We are fortunate to have him. Thank you for all you do. If you think of Marcus Welby MD (old school television doctor) this Physician comes close. Compassionate caring sympathetic knowledgeable as well as straight up truthful. This is our life and we only get one. Entrust in him.

Dr. O’brien is a no non-sense family doctor that has cared for me both in the Woodlawn Hospital Emergency Department 10 years ago when I was very acutely Ill and then took over at the family medicine clinic when my other doctor retired. He is very caring and knowledgeable. He answers any questions I may have and follows through when a specialty doctor may be needed. He has taken excellent care of me. After I had surgery last October 2019, he showed up at the hospital to make sure I was being taken care of. He is one of the top doctors in my opinion!

My elderly parents have had Dr O’Brien as their family doctor for several years. When they both had serious health issues this year, I observed first hand, over a period of time, Dr O’Brien’s compassionate care and concern for their health and wellbeing. My mother had breast cancer and the doctor helped with a timely referral for treatment at Goshen that was successful. My father has COPD and diabetes. Following a recent serious diabetic crisis that resulted in hospitalization, the doctor worked with our family to set up an at home plan of care in cooperation with nearby Kindrid Hospice that has been adjusted as needed. We are grateful for having such compassionate people like Dr O’Brien serving Rochester community.
