Had a lumbar decompression surgery done with him aug 2022. And he had me thru work physical therapy and after 3.5 month I was still have major pain issues and he discharge me and mmi me at a low rating when I was still in pain and having issues ,and with incompetence I later had to have a spinal fusion to fix the original problem with a vastly superior surgeon.Gave him initial good rating until symptoms were not addressed in previous follow ups.Go anywhere but this facility and dr O’Neil!!

Dr O'Neill operated on me in October 2015 at Vanderbilt in Nashville TN. I was very pleased with him, and his staff. I had to have very involved back surgery due to an injury. I am now walking well without having to use a cane. I am 66 years old. You can't go wrong with Dr. O'Neill!

My experience with Dr. O’ Neill was very positive. He takes the time to explain what health issues you are having. His attitude is very warm and caring. He is a great doctor, and I would recommend him to all who are having spine issues

I’ve seen Dr. O’Neill three times at the OrthoIndy hospital on Northwest Blvd. The first two times were office visits and the third was for micro disc back surgery. I had a herniated disc at L5-S1 that was compressing nerves on the right side. The disc eventually became severely herniated causing numbness in my foot and leg along with excruciating pain from my lumbar all the way down my leg into my foot. During my office visits Dr. O’Neill never rushed me and always let me speak. He listens well and takes time to explain things. He would use a voice recorder to take notes about my condition and MRI findings. I found him to be very kind and professional. I had micro disc back surgery 7 days ago (May 20, 2020). Prior to my surgery I was taking several medications at high doses and could barely walk. Now a week after surgery I’m only taking Celebrex and Gabapentin twice a day - both low dose. No narcotics. I feel great. I am forever grateful to Dr. O’Neill.

Dr.O’Neill did a great job explaining my situation and options. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I felt comfortable under his care and highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering with back pain and issues that requires surgical repair.

After a Hit and run auto accident which left me having numbness and tingling is in my arms and hands. And then going to a workmen’s Comp clinic that only complicated my neck pain and increased numbness I schedule an appointment with Dr.Kevin O’Neil’ .He Explain the surgery procedure and put me at ease telling me that he could fix the problem causing Numbness in my arms and get me back to full strength.Shortly after that he performed cervical neck surgery (Laminectomy and Laminoplasty C3to C7.

Dr. O'Neill I can't thank you enough for the surgery on September 1,2014 I had a terrible car accident and I needed back surgery at Vanderbilt Hospital and I wanted to tell you I'm moving around because I was going to be paralyzed from waist down and you repaired my sciatic nerve and I get to at least move on my own. Thanks to you I have a better life and I can feel stinging still,but I can move and I have been bending over to pick things from the floor and I'm stronger because of you . Thanks!

Dr. O'Neill is first-rate at every aspect of medicine: he actually listens to the patient, responds to questions or concerns, is an excellent surgeon who did a wonderful job reconstructing a collapsed section of my spine, and kept scarring to a minimum. From the start, I knew I was in kindly, professional, extremely capable hands. Surgical follow up is just as thorough, and I can't overstate how carefully Dr. O'Neill has managed my surgeries and recovery.

We went to Dr. O'Neill for a second opinion, & are so very thankful that we did!! I've never seen a physician so attentive to detail and also kind!! We would recommend him to everyone!! In fact, we do, my husband and I both carry his cards and hand them out if someone is thinking about back surgery. (I just gave one out at WalMart over the weekend) He didn't give us unrealistic expectations, but also recommended less surgery than the other neurosurgeon. My husband is doing GREAT!!

Absolutely wonderful physician. I had emergent surgery in August 2016, and Dr. O'Neill was so patient with my family and myself it was incredible. Dr. O'Neill answered all questions with proper wording so that everyone understood his responses. Dr. O'Neill also did not mind repeating himself if questions were repetitive. The moment I met Dr. O'Neill I knew that he was a capable physician for the surgery I was scheduled for. St.Vincent Hospital 86th street-awesome Staff.

Dr ONeill did a spinal fusion T4 to S 1, May 26, 2015. Prior to surgery I was in horrific pain, I was bent forward as well as to my right side. Today 11 months post op my pain level has gone from an constant 8 to a 4. I am able to walk without the use of a cane, which I couldn't walk without one. Dr O'Neill's made me feel relaxed from the moment I met him to the last time I saw him.

Dr. O'neil is not only knowledgeable, but is also very skilled in what he does! With the amount of scoliosis I had I was amazed how straight my back is now and how much better my back feels now after having surgery! He spent more time with me explaining procedures, my actual surgery and my recovery than any other doctor I've ever had. His level of compassion and understanding is phenomenal!

He is the most knowledgeable and understanding Dr. I have ever been to. He brought me from a 15 minute window of standing to full mobility. I now do strength training classes 3 days a week and I am able to do everyday activities without pain. He is awesome in my book.
