Impatient and Condescending Doctor
I decided to take my child to see Dr. Powers based on the positive reviews. My experience though was far from those glowing comments he received. If you're already a patient of his or are familiar with his style, you may be okay. As new patients though, we naturally had a lot of questions. The way he treated us was rather condescending, as if we were wasting his time. I would not return to him and would not recommend him to my family and friends.

I saw Dr Powers on February 28, 2020 for a second opinion about a broken leg and ankle. He immediately recognized I was receiving improper care and took steps that ultimately saved my left foot from amputation. The level of care and concern I received was excellent.

Dr. Powers really only cares about you buying his expensive, custom orthotics. Had a minor issue that was treated by basically staying off of my foot and wearing a boot for a few weeks and he felt it was "medically necessary" for me to get orthotics. Then at my 2nd visit (2 weeks later) he tried getting me to buy them again, and when I declined he started walking out without even checking how my foot was doing with the boot! When I stopped him, he said, "Well if it's feeling better then take it off and I guess just come see me if you injure yourself again." I ended up taking the boot off too soon and in pain again. Waste of my time and money going there. He's not very personable at all and clearly only cares about making money off these orthotics. Definitely won't be going back.

Dr Powers is a nice genuine person who takes pride in his profession and passes that on to his staff members. They are all great and caring. I got released today after a situation with my foot and a surgery prior to that. I will definitely go back to him if I have any future problems and I will refer him to friends and family if they experience any such problems. Thanks to all!

So I must have been one of the first patients of Dr Powers way back in 88-89. I had two foot procedures done, one on each foot! Best decision I ever made and Dr Powers was wonderful and corrected my foot problem. After 30 years I can highly recommend him!

Dr Powers loves to sell his $500 insoles. Thanks to his total lack of attention to the severe Achilles injury that I had, I'm about to undergo a second surgery. His staff outright lied to me in saying my insurance was covering these ridiculous insoles he insisted was what I NEEDED. I should probably sue him for malpractice. Beware of this "Doctor". Instead of actually helping, he gives people presents for coming and had full service drinks in the waiting room

My husband was having foot issues it was a corn that kept growing back. Instead of suggesting surgery(an xray before hand to see the underlying problem) he gave him some insoles that made the problem worst. He now has had surgery no thanks to dr. Powers and is recovering. It needed to be cut out root and all and his toe bone had to be broken and realigned with a couple of dissolvable pins put into place.

I've seen Dr. Powers for several things (ingrown toenail, orthotics and plantar fasciitis) over the last decade or so and found his professionalism, knowledge and service to be top notch. He explains what the issue is and options to solve, allowing me to make an informed decision on my course of treatment. Several of my children have also seen Dr. Powers for different aliments (e.g. ingrown toenail)and I have been very happy with their experiences as well.

Had congenital tailor bunions on both feet. I put up with worsening pain for years before I could finally do something about it. Saw Dr. Powers on a coworker's recommendation. Once everything was lined up, my recovery and follow-up appts were smooth. I am nearly pain free now. I can work like I used to (in automotive manufacturing). More importantly, I can exercise and play with my daughter much more easily!

I have been a patient of Dr. Powers since 1999. He has taken excellent care of my feet on a regular basis. Due to arthritis, my feet need help and special shoe pads that Dr. Powers recommended. His professionalism and friendly manner have always made me feel at ease. If you need a great foot doctor, go see Dr. Powers!

Unfortunately I should have listened to the previous reviews. Dr Powers did not look at my X-rays I had done before going there. He didn't want anything to do with me unless I bought the 438 dollars orthotics. It is a gimmick and I was pushed testimonials to read but unless you buy what they want you to buy then he won't help you.

Dr. Powers and his Staff have been wonderful throughout my surgeries and follow up visits. before surgery I could not feel my feet and they were numb and burning, all the time. I could not even stand for the covers to touch my feet at night. I was scared to drive because I could not feel the gas pedal. I was diagnoised with Tarsal tunnel, had the surgery, and now I am doing wonderful. No burning or numbness. Without Dr. Powers I would of been miserable for along time. Thank you!

I don't normally write reviews, but I had a horrible experience with this practice. I was diagnosed with achilles tendinitis on May 25 and fitted for a custom orthotic on June 1. On June 1, I paid the balance for the orthotic in full and asked if there would be any other charge. The staff at the front desk said, "No." I requested that since I was moving over the summer that the orthotic be shipped to my new address. "No problem." On July 8, I receive a phone call saying, "We have your ortho

Dr. Powers diagnosed me with RSD many years ago. If he hadn't figured it out immediately and sent me to the right people I might not be walking on my foot today. I am very grateful to him!

2010 I pulled a callus from under my toe, it started bleeding on an off for four months. I went to Dr. Powers to find out what was going on. He exsplained because I was a diebetic was the reason my toe was not healing. He diligently, and professionally took complete and total control of the situation. His major concern was that the bone in my toe would get infected, then I could loose the toe. Above, and Beyond his Philosophy, Dr. Powers saved my toe.Highly recomend anyone to visit Dr Powers.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Powers for Medicaid patients or anybody who does not fit the profile of a main-stream, pretty person. I am somewhat eccentric, carrying a big backpack around town in an effort to rehabilitate my hip surgery, it was VERY clear that Dr. Powers was NOT comfortable in my presence, so much so, that he failed in his medical instruction to me, allowing his prejudice to actually cost me money and unnecessary pain! Again, don't put yourself under his scornful disdain if you ar
