Great doctor. Great results. Very demanding.
Dr Kevin Reilly takes his work seriously. He demands that his patients are serious as well. A surgeon can fix what's wrong, but you have to do your part and do the therapy. Bed side manner can seem lacking at first. Once you establish a line of communication with him, you'll find he is a very caring doctor. I pray I never have to have another rotator cuff surgery again, if I do, he would be the first surgeon I'd call.

Dr. Visit
I went in for a knee issue. I needed surgery for a torn meniscus. The surgery was painless and my condition improved immediately. He did such a good job that I was out of therapy in a week. I have been pain free since then as well.

I saw Dr Reilly today for a fractured pelvis. He was kind and very gentle seeing how much pain I was in. He did a thorough exam and took time to explain to me everything he was doing and was going to do. The entire staff was very kind and helpful. Yes I would recommend Dr. Kevin Reilly.

My visit with Kevin Reilly was a horrible experience. When I balked at his tone and manner of addressing my condition he said to me, "I'm gruff, but hey, that's the way I am." What he calls "gruff" came across to me as a volatile, abusive and threatening rant. He concluded that I was not a good candidate for surgery and misdiagnosed me with an illness outside his field. This shook me until a specialist in the field reassured me that he was wrong. In the end I went to an orthopedic surgeon affiliated with a different health organization. I was treated respectfully and kindly and had a successful hip replacement. I am not alone in questioning Kevin Reilly's "bedside manner". I have come to find therapists, nurses and other physicians have agreed using the terms "bully" "jerk" and worse.

Habitually late for appointments (at least a half hour). Does not explain conditions, treatments, follow up expectations then treats you as an idiot when you return for a checkup. Condescending attitude and just not friendly. Feels he is above the common patient.
