Dr. Kevin Terefenko, MD

Dr. Terefenko was the third surgeon I had seen regarding a revision of a prior surgery. He graciously agreed to see me in consult, and was nothing short of wonderful. I have more mobility now than I've had in 15 years. He and his staff were all very professional and efficient. I can't recommend Dr. Terefenko enough!

Dr.Terefenko recently replaced my second knee past June! The first eight years prior ! Without a doubt his team , his expertise gave me a real second chance at a normal lifestyle ! I highly recommend this team to anyone ! Anyone !

It has been 7 years since my knee replacement. I put up with various problems with that knee for 44 years. During an arthroscopic repair some 13 years prior to the replacement, that doctor stated that if I was 10 years older he would replace that knee TOMORROW, Dr Terefenko, his office, surgical and rehabilitation staffs were super and very professional. They provided answers to all my questions and provided all documentation requested, including copies of all x-rays taken. I have had no issues with my knee since the replacement so I will return to Dr Terefenko if I need my other knee replaced. The only negative I had is that during my first visit he asked me three times if a needed a shot for pain. I stated no all three times. He never asked again. I guess I was an anomaly as I had no pain! I had just lost all confidence in the knee.

Dr. Terefenko did a perfect job in two surgeries, both knee replacements. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a joint replacement. Dr. Terefenko is caring, capable, and conscientious. His office is 47 miles from my home, but I gladly traveled that distance.

I see a rheumatologist, but because of pervasive knee pain, I had an MRI which showed significant cartilage loss. My doctor suggested I see a surgeon, and thought Dr. Terefenko was a good choice. My visit was today, and I left there in tears. After two hours of meeting first his nurse, who never took the time to introduce herself until I asked her name, his intern who was incredibly abrasive and then the doctor who proceeded to berate the care I had already received: a cortisone shot that had no impact and that I had pain at the injection site for several days afterwards - it was obviously administered incorrectly, and if he gave me a shot I would have no pain; a dosage of meds that he would only prescribe for a 70 year old with kidney disease (I'm 48) and telling me that because of a number of autoimmune conditions I have I most likely have a genetic mutation that would cause me to die from COVID, I will not be returning. If you want a compassionate doctor, this is not your guy!!!

I had a previous Good experience with Dr Terefenko, who did a dual hip replacement surgery for me in 2013. So when I started having knee issues, my thoughts went directly to return to him . I've been very happy with the evaluation done by his P.A. Justin as well who was also there for my first procedure. He really took the time to explain and evaluate my situation.

Everyone was friendly, professional and helpful, including Dr Terefenko.

Absolutely the best orthopedic surgeon for knee replacements anywhere. He did a revision on a knee that was botched by another surgeon when no one else would tough it and it came out fantastic. Justin, his PA, is also excellent. A great team. He is very professional and thorough. I highly recommend him.

I would absolutely recommend Dr Terefenko and his associate Justin. They tell it like it is and don’t pull any punches. I surely appreciate their frankness. And they make sure that you understand everything.

Dr. Terefenko took the time to discuss and explain the various alternative treatments for my knee problems. He is very knowledgeable an expert in knees but what I really liked was he suggested a several step progressive strategy to address my knee problems, and did not immediately suggest I undergo a knee replacement. I have had many years of knee injuries and scopes on the knee and understand that someday I will need a knee replacement but liked Dr. Terefenko's logical step by step approach.
