Find a different surgeon!
Dr. Tymitz was a referral from my PCP to perform surgery on an area prone to abscesses. It was the worst experience I've ever had. I was told it would be a "minor" surgery, quick recovery- however, it was the surgery that never stopped giving with the amount of post-surgery issues I had. There was no warning to the risks - in fact, I was told there were barely any. However, my stitches opened up (TWICE), and then the area became swollen, infected. I had an open wound for close to 2 months. Eventually, I had to see another doctor who was a Godsend that truly helped by prescribing medication/ointment that helped my incision heal. He also stated that I should not have been recommended this surgery, given the high movement area. In fact, I have ended up getting abscesses more now at the same spot, defeating the purpose of the surgery and all of the pain I went thru. Please - please do yourself a favor and find a different surgeon. Read the reviews - I wish I had!

Dr Tymitz removed my gallbaldder in August, 2016 and by October, I was in ICU as the stones he left in my abdomen became infected. It effected my Pancreas, Liver & Kidneys..I have never recovered and still have an issue with my liver..his surgery report stated he left stones in. I ended up with pleural effusion with 1500cc of infection, and, my lung collapsed. I still have a spot on my liver now which a specialist will try to diagnose. And, I'm not a young man. I tried to tell him something wasn't right and his answer "you're older, it just takes longer to heal...as a result of this horrible experience, I have a problem trusting Doctor's...just be careful everyone..

I was very unhappy with my surgery experience with Dr. Tymitz. I was in a lot of pain, spent a large amount of money on wound supplies, had to deal with an open wound for weeks, and have in my opinion an excessive scar.

Dr Tymitz is a very caring surgeon. He doesn’t take things lightly and explains things as well as risks and advantages. I had a risky surgery that had to be performed. Dr Tymitz called me personally the day before and came to see me the evening after the surgery.

I had multiple surgeries with Dr. Tymitz and his associate. The worst nightmares I have ever had. Bowel blockage from surgery then cutting of the bowel. Spent time in ICU on ventilator and in hospital for 3 weeks. Then had to have another surgery because of a fistula. The last surgery I was released in 2 weeks which I think was to soon. I think they just wanted me out of the practice. Was then sent bills for mistakes that the doctors made which I don't think I should have to pay.
