Dismissive and overconfident
He never did a physical review and came in after having someone else take information down and said diagnosis confirmed by Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic weren’t accurate.Extremely overconfident and not thorough at all. Not good qualities in an anesthesiologist and shockingly low standards for Duke.

Unfortunate experience
This doctor put in a spinal cord stimulator. Power pack was put directly under my belt line in the same location of a spinal fracture. After 3 months of agony he moved the power pack to my left abdomen. Over 6 months later still have severe pain where power pack was originally placed. Abdomen location prevents me from having an MRI. He is not a surgeon.

If I could give a rating of no stars I would. I’ve been going to this pain clinic for the past couple of years and never experienced this Very poor service. The entire practice changed and unbeknownst to me, so did their policies. Tried to explain and was honest about my increased level of pain. Thought He would understand but basically treated me like I was nothing. My Former doc (Dr. Prakken) showed compassion and really was interested in treating my chronic pain. This new doc basically just dismissed me and discontinued my pain meds. Worse bedside manner I ever experienced!

This doctor assumed I was a substance abuser because of a medication I was on. He does not know the difference between Subutex and Suboxone but is a pain specialist? He asked me 3 times in 3 different ways if I was addicted to heroin. He humiliated me and forced me to suffer by undertreating my post op pain I suffered immensely for 2 days until my own pain specialist in my hometown stepped in out of disbelief when I returned home
