Dr. Kevin White, MD

Dr. Kevin White is extremely disorganized and forgetful, and jumps to hasty conclusions based on cursory overviews. His reactions and responses indicate a lack of understanding of human situations in general, despite what his background and skill set on paper may suggest. I met with him briefly several months ago. He literally yelled at me during my second visit: "You've NEVER had ANY problems???!!!" he exclaimed. Those were his exact words. He literally triggered some of my PTSD symptoms

I have been seeing Dr. White for 2 years, before he made the switch to Community Psychiatry. He is friendly, attentive, and quick to respond. As we have adjusted medications over the past two years he has been thoughtful and thorough in discussing options. While a past reviewer suggested he is disorganized, that has changed since he made the switch to computer based note-taking program.

I saw Dr. White for a few months until I found a psychiatrist who worked much better with me. That was a year ago, and I still feel nervous and guilty about needing medication. Dr. White seemed to believe that I did not have ADHD (as diagnosed by a previous psychiatrist), and would repeatedly tell me adderall caused psychosis. He could rarely remember what medications he had prescribed me in the previous appointments until he searched his notes (which were unfortunately disorganized).

Dr. White is really wonderful. I trust him completely. He has been my doctor for over 5 years now, and I see him once a month for 25 minutes, which is typical for him. A good psychiatrist is rare, so I'm so glad I found him.

Dr. White is the best psychiatrist I've ever worked with. He's extremely knowledgeable, patient, and empathic. He's also very cheerful and humorous, which puts me at ease during our sessions. If things get tough, he shows concern and knows how to listen. When I show an interest in learning more about my condition, he's very sharp and explains things clearly (and in great detail if you show intellectual curiosity). I feel very lucky to be seeing Dr. White.
