Bedside manner of a rabid animal!
My mom is 72, in the hospital for low sodium and high blood pressure. Dr. Shuja has come in to see my mom a few times and each time snaps at my mom to turn the TV off. Yesterday was no different and my mom had the remote in her hand for an hour before she came in so she could be prepared faster. My mom is a fall risk, not to get out of bed without assistance. Yet yesterday Dr. Shuja yelled at my mom because "for 5 days I have come in here and you are in bed! I can't do anything else for you, I'm sending you home today so go home". She upset my mom to the point of hours later my mom's BP was still 155/98. My mom writes nice notes to the cafeteria staff, thanks everyone that comes in her room. She does not want to be there, she would prefer to be home yet Dr. Shuja made her feel as if she is doing something wrong. That is uncalled for and beyond unprofessional!

She was very professional, right to the point ,and her knowledge of my situation was perfect. Nothing but respect for Dr. Shuja. I would recommend this doctor.

Very informative and kind. She explained my illness and the treatment. Not sure of her ethnic background but she wore a head cover which was interesting. I didn't want to ask as it really made no difference in my care. She seemed very thorough in reading my file and followed up with treatment. She was very good to me during my recent illness.
