Dr. Kim Ervin, MD

I have been a patient with Dr. Ervin since the early 2000's. Dr. Ervin has always treated me with care, concern and respect. She is a wealth of knowledge and I believe she is one of the finest doctors I have ever worked with. I highly recommend her and I have many times over.

I am very grateful to Dr. Ervin and her staff for their help in my hysterectomy. She listens, and is a caring person. Thank you !

Dr Ervin has been my dr for many years and has seen me through several life stages both physical and psychological. She’s always been attentive and never rushed me through an appt . She is excellent in her field and has caught early health issues and provided treatment immediately for which I’m most grateful for. I appreciate how she always asks me how I’m doing in my life and really is interested. I’ve moved out of the area and will be seeing a new obgyn in which I will greatly miss Dr Ervin . After so many years I’m saying goodbye to a very dear friend. I’m grateful to Kim for all the years of excellent care. Humboldt co is blessed to have her.

I was very excited to see Dr.Ervin as I have endometriosis and thought she could help, but I left my appointment in tears. I felt like she wasn’t taking my pain seriously and made me feel invalidated and broken. I was hoping she would be more thorough with my medical history and symptoms, but very few questions were asked.

Dr. Ervin is an excellent doctor. She discussed the various options available for my condition and the pros and cons for each. Ultimately I chose surgery, and she was wonderful prior, during, and after the surgery; checked in with my partner before and afterwards, called me at home after discharging from the hospital, and spent time with me at the follow up visit. She never feels like she is going through the motions and checking something off on a computerized list. She has been an advocate for women's health - physical and psychological - for many years. Dr. Ervin listens and cares about her patients. I wish we had more specialists like her. I do miss her private practice, but will continue to follow her to the next medical group affiliate.

Review for NP Marcia Brenta: Had an appointment as a new patient with NP Marcia Brenta. It was one of the worse provider visits I’ve ever experienced. She was rude, neither compassionate or understanding and practically laughed at my questions and concerns. I left in tears. I’m a pretty easy going and understanding person and don’t usually write bad reviews... but she is a health care professional and not one in her position should act as she did.

I have amazing private pay insurance. Two messages. No call back. It takes a lot for woman to reach out, just to be blown off about our health. I would never want to be seen here, for the lazy secretary can’t even do her job, who wants a doc with a lazy staff. Small town. Broken, sad, dr, play god. Go elsewhere

Everyone in this office is amazing ! All of my needs our met and the staff truly cares. I would recommend this office to everyone ! Dr. Hackett is the best OB Dr. Humboldt County has to offer !

From the time I had my kids, both in their late 20s, until now, as I navigate perimenopause, Dr. Ervin's been my provider. I find her to be competent, compassionate, and considerate of my needs and lifestyle. I rarely have to wait past my appointment time and she always takes the time she needs to treat me well.

I am having a nightmare dealing with this office. I am dealing with Dr Hackett, and so far I am being told that my baby is 11 to 14 weeks in utero, which is a huge range, No one will help me to find out more, and I feel totally unheard and like they just want me to stop asking questions. i was in tears in the office and told to leave because they needed the room. I feel totally ignored and rushed, and am hoping to find a different doctor.

Excellent care. Better than anyone I've seen in Humboldt county. She actively listened to me and didn't just through drugs at me to mask symptoms like many doctors I've visited here. I would highly recommend Dr. Ervin.
