I’ve had a lifelong battle with back pain. Three months ago I decided to have my 3rd spinal fusion by Dr Doss instead of an orthopedic. I had so much nerve pain in my back, butt, hips and legs. Chronic sciatica. Dr Doss repaired L3 and then fused it to the previous fusion of L4-5. Even though I’m riddled with arthritis, within 1 no. Post surgery I was walking normal and driving! I’m 3 months post surgery and have had ZERO neurological pain anywhere! Up until this surgery I could barely stand, walk or sit and even lying down was painful. Dr Doss has renewed my lease on life! Not only that but he reviews your scans with you, describes surgery completely, advised on what to expect and he came to see me both days in the hospital! These days, that’s unheard of with a surgeon!! He’s the best!!

My wife recently had spinal surgery. Dr. Doss is a fine surgeon. His practice staff is the worst ever. My wife was discharged with no follow up for home health care. We are both over 70 and I am handicapped. We specifically requested home health care for assistance in bathing, dressing, toileting, etc. Our insurance company said that all of this would be covered, but they need a referral from the doctor. We have suffered two weeks with no help. We’ve gotten nothing but a string of no call backs, no portal responses and bald faced lies from the staff.

When your PCP refers you to a surgeon you can expect that surgery will be their answer every time but I was surprised when Dr Doss recommended a less invasive approach. Six years later changes in my symptoms did require surgery but even then he recommended the less invasive procedure for the best possible outcome. As a retired nurse who spent most of my career working in the operating room I know other surgeons would have recommended a multiple level spinal fusion where Dr Doss found there was one level that needed to be fused. I remain grateful for his being a man of integrity. Anyone who suffers with back pain should definitely consider getting his opinion.

Dr. Doss is extremely knowledgeable about his work. I believe sometimes dr’s just talk over our heads not realizing that it’s a foreign language to layman ears . Dr Doss is no exception but If you need him to explain things in greater detail he will with a smile and no problem. He has a very cool, calm demeanor which is good if you’re the apprehensive sort. My mother and I had nearly the same type of surgery within 2 weeks of each other she had a different neurosurgeon and I had Dr. Doss, It just seems to me that Dr. Doss’ methods are a bit more updated and innovative. I Had a great experience and would definitely (and have) recommended Dr.Doss to anyone who needs a super talented, innovative, brilliant neurosurgeon ?? Thanks Dr. Doss

I just had a lumbar surgery with Dr. Doss and I never expected to have everyone on this team be so awesome From Katie, Jeremy, Mike,Kelly,Sarah and Samantha. From the beginning to the end they made me feel so comfortable you guys are awesome

For me to have another spinal surgery in was ready scared of the not knowing. Dr Doss explained everything to where I understood everything clearly. He went over my MRIs and even showed me exactly what he was seeing and how he could correct it. He never once pushed me into having the surgery but did tell all the risks involved and how it could help relieve some of the pain I was having but as with any surgery it's not a guarantee. I would definitely be returning if other problems occurred.

If you are reading this then you are probably looking for a doctor. You will not find a better surgeon than Dr. Doss. Dr. Doss performed a 3 level ACDF on me 8/2017 and I am very happy with the results. I also found Dr. Doss by reading all the reviews I could find. I am now 7 months post op and just had X-ray to confirm that the fusion has taken place. Dr. Doss is very down to earth and explains and answers all questions.

Doctor Doss performed an emergency procedure on my Mother for a Subdural Hematoma. He was remarkable, his rapport with the patient is exemplary. The follow up from his team specifically CHris, the PA was wonderful. Since the initial procedure my Mom has experienced other complications caused by blood thinners due to A fib. Dr. Doss always listens to you with great enthusiasm to helping you getting out of pain, he is the first person in 20 years to help me with my back pain and is willing to help me. I have great respect for him also because of the widespread pain I have is not just in one spot, it is in several area's and he is willing to fix all of them.
