Excellent Physician, Highly Recommend
My mother has been under Dr. Kleinfelds care for 4 years and he and his staff have helped guide us through very difficult decisions during this time. He is thorough, empathetic and has gone above and beyond to see to it that she has received the much needed care that she deserves. I have been to every appointment with her and have been nothing but impressed with him and his staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Kleinfelds practice to anyone needing his expertise.

It almost seemed like the provider was unsure why we had scheduled this appointment (desire to work directly with a neurologist for Alzheimer's vs with just our PCP). His explanations were good mostly but he did use technical terms that sometimes were hard to follow. But he was great at explaining further when asked. It just seemed like he was a bit nonchalant and unclear on the purpose.

Least Compassionate Dr Ever
After spending a year almost disabled by neurological symptoms, I saw Dr Kleinfeld. From the moment he walked in the door he was dismissive, short, cut me off when I tried to describe symptoms and irritable. I have NEVER had such a terrible experience with a practitioner, especially for an appointment I felt was incredibly important. I explained a main symptom was a very over active startle reflex. He then tapped my knee nerves and as my knee kicked my hand shot out and grabbed his elbow. I was very apologetic and so stressed that it had even happened, but explained that this was exactly what I was talking about. He then filed a complaint against me for making him feel unsafe for doing what I was there to be seen for. I have filed a counter complaint at this time. Imagining a more vulnerable patient being treated the way I was is incredibly upsetting. Do not wait months to see him just to be treated poorly.

I have been under Dr. Kleinfeld's care for almost two years, and my experience has been consistently disappointing. Throughout this time, he has shown a notable lack of empathy, making me feel like an inconvenience at every visit. He rushes through consultations, doesn't take the time to listen to my concerns, and seems more interested in moving on to the next patient than providing quality care. For example, I suffer from migraines, but Dr. Kleinfeld and his staff consistently refer to them as 'headaches,' dismissing the severity of my condition. Despite my long-term loyalty, I have left each appointment feeling unheard and undervalued. I would not recommend Dr. Kleinfeld to anyone seeking a compassionate and attentive healthcare provider.

Waste of Time
Appointment was rushed, spent the entire time typing which made me feel like he wasn't present. He was dismissive to the point that I didn't make it through my list of symptoms and issues. Absolute waste of time and money after waiting 4 months for the appointment.

He is very compassionate, listened to me and answered to all my questions. I never felt rushed. He asked all details about my migraine then gave me handouts, about diet, pain management and gave me all the treatment options I could start with and made me part of the treatment plan and decision. . I went from having about 15 migraines in one month to one and now, 4 months later I am pain free and I look back and know I was lucky to find Dr. Kleinfeld.

I was treated by Dr. Kleinfeld following an ER visit for an unexpected neurological problem. After getting no answers in the ER, and lots of confusion with follow up instructions, I sought out a different doctor within Vanderbilt for help, finding Dr Kleinfeld. Prior to my visit, he'd already reviewed my ER chart and test results. He spent a great deal of time discussing my symptoms, doing an exam, and explaining his diagnosis. He was thorough, patient, & thoughtful. I highly recommend this Dr.

Of you are looking for a doctor for any kind of headache related illness, go see someone else. He will tell you it is in your head and say you need to go see a psychiatrist. He doesn't spend any time with you at all listening to your problems.

Lack of addressing concerns, diagnosing, providing treatment options. General lack of concern for patient. No sympathy in regard to head / neck injury resulting in migraine and vertigo. Nurses are not considerate and do not return calls. Office is unorganized and unconcerned.

Dr. Kleindeld was puzzled by my symptoms, he was dismissive and had no interest when I tried to explain the that I had been in excruciating pain intermittently for 2 1/2 years. At my second visit he spent 3 minutes with me. He said and this is an exact quote. "I don't know what is wrong with you, you should go see another doctor." He had no empathy, compassion or concern for my well being.
