Very compassionate Doctor
It was worth the wait to become a patient of this practice. I finally found a practice where I felt heard and was given solutions. My appointments are never rushed. And my phone calls get returned! This is not corporate medicine where you are just number. This is the way medicine should be.

Practice has changed
Dr. Santwani was the only neurologist on my insurance plan when I had an MS relapse with intense sensory symptoms and worsening spasticity and pain that made it hard for me to walk very far without terrible pain afterwards. Dr. S was too busy to see me, and Jessica just kept saying it wasn't from MS! I spoke to a neurologist I know (who wasn't on my insurance) and he said 'We see this in MS all the time'. I had hoped to get IV steroids, but it took three months to talk Dr. S into giving me a half dose. My family was so worried. Dr. S was too busy to see me and sent me to an MS specialist that it took months to get an appointment with. I felt so helpless and scared over such a long period of time, and I had nobody to turn to. I started having panic attacks that I think could have been avoided if I had been able to see or talk to someone (anyone) who knew what they were talking about. I have new insurance and a new doctor now, because I don't ever want to be in that position again.

Worst Neurologist for movement disorders
Dr Santwani is the worst Neurologist my wife has ever seen. He claims to be a movement disorders neurologist. However, he never tested for Parkinson's disease and decided to change all of my wife's medications. Her condition worsened and she saw another neurologist who then ordered the proper tests for Parkinson's disease. She was then diagnosed with PD and her new neurologist changed her medications as well as reinstituted her previous medications.

I made an appointment with Dr Santwani after I had been seeing another neurologist with whom I was not satisfied with. It did take about two months to see him...but it was well worth the wait. He is extremely knowledgeable, and took his time explaining, asking and answering questions related to my issue. He was extremely thorough, and talked "to" me...not "at" me as did my other neurologist. The office staff was wonderful and accommodating. Dr Santwani did not rush the appointment...he took his time with me. I am so glad I decided to get a second opinion..I feel we're on the right track with Dr Santwani.

This LOW review has nothing to do with Dr. Santwani's care.....i believe he is an excellent doctor. However; a good Dr. is of NO value if he can't be seen. When i called for an appointment related to an injury for which i had been previously seen, i was told it would be 3 1/2 months before he could see me. I could get in to see a nurse practitioner sooner, but i said that was not a viable option. The receptionist was aloof, indifferent , unconcerned and didn't care in the least.

I had my first meeting with Dr. Santwani yesterday (6/14/2016) and I have to say he was one of the best Dr's I have seen. He explained everything thoroughly, took his time to ask the right questions and get to know my medical history and was patient with my questions. While that may seem like the obvious course of action, unfortunately that isn't always the case with some Dr's. I am very happy with my experience, everyone in the office was friendly and I would highly recommend Dr. Santwani.

I made an appointment with this office two months ago and confirmed my insurance with a women named Sharon over the phone prior to my appointment. I talked to the office multiple times confirming they had my insurance and it was accepted. It came to about two hours before my appointment and a different woman called me saying my insurance wasn't accepted after waiting two months and I could pay $435 out of pocket it I wanted to come in. Seriously?! Absolutely ridiculous.
