Rude incompetent and dangerous for patients.
This woman should NOT be a doctor. She came in making wild, dangerous life altering claims with no background on or care for the history of the patient. How is this woman an approved doctor?!

It is difficult for me to write this because I like to write positive reviews. But I feel compelled because my experience was so awful. I have known a lot of doctors in my life. I have met some amazing, wonderful ones that I am very grateful for. But I have also met people who shouldn’t be doctors. Ones that minimize and don’t listen. Ones that make you feel powerless, like you have no control over your own medical care. When that happens, it’s scary. It happened to me with Dr. Kamani. She would cut me off when I was talking. Her manner was abrupt and I never got the feeling that she cared at all. She seemed annoyed at answering questions. I ended up having to text my doctors on the hospital text system to get answers about things I was confused about. I love Northshore but would switch hospitals if I went back and she was my doctor again. Maybe she just needs a vacation, a break. But right now I would not trust her with my life or the life of anyone I cared about.

Dr Kamani took care of my 83 year old mother recently for a week long stay at highland park hospital. her bedside manor was very pleasant and she was very patient with us. More importantly she did tests and came up with a diagnosis pretty quickly and began treatment immediately. Near the beginning of my mom’s stay when she was quite sick Dr. Kamani saw her more than once a day. I would highly recommend her.

In hospital care, Terrible Does not coordinate with primary care dr or any patient's specialists. Wrong assumptions in diagnosis Totally unprofessional verbal behavior between patient and dr. Believes she as patient's ASSIGNED dr in hospital takes presidence over patients private drs and patient's rights or knowledge Her ego out weighs her medical knowledge and patient care experience
