New patient with autoimmune disease and osteoarthr
This Dr Choi Rheumatologist whom I was told diagnoses and could treat autoimmune diseases only treats rheumatology diseases and not no rheumatology based autoimmune disorder. She was rude, wouldn't let me speak, seemed super overwhelmed at my medical history and recent findings in lab exams. Spoke to me in a condescending tone throughout exam, even rolling her eyes several times during visit. She didn't want to hear anything I had to say. I am a registered nurse who practiced mainly in NYC but live in NJ for over 15 years. She was obviously overwhelmed with my past and recent medical history and tells me she only treats rheumatology based autoimmune disorders. If that was the case the scheduling staff should never have scheduled me to see her as I made it clear I needed a rheumatologist who could also diagnose and treat autoimmune diseases. This Dr did not do a full physical exam, had no interest in listening to what s been happening with me over the past 20 months. horrible MD

Positive Experience
I had a very positive experience. Dr Choi immediately put me at ease with a big smile and hello when she walked in the room. She reviewed my history; she answered my questions and concerns. She explained everything in language a nonmedical person can understand. If she asked a question I didn't know how to reply to she rephrased the question. She ordered blood work and x-rays, which I was able to take care of at this facility the same day. I can't praise her and the staff at the Clark facility enough.

Schedule
At time of scheduling a new patient appointment I was told it would be about 4 months. I was willing to wait and I scheduled an appointment. Today I get a call that Dr. Choi needs to reschedule and the next available appointment is in ANOTHER 3 months.

Saw her in 2019 at Overlook for a concern of mine and she provided excellent care! She explained everything very carefully and was very thorough with the care she provided. She was also very relatable. She's seriously the sweetest doctor! I definitely recommend her if you need to see a rheumatologist.
