Dr. Kristi Kern, DO

I have dealt with a lot of chronic pain while Dr. Kern has been my PCP over the last 15ish years. While she was always willing to refer me to various specialists, there were never any answers or resolutions, and I never felt that there was any extra effort from her to try to figure out the root issue and provide me with some relief. She explored a few major options of what could be causing the issue, but when those proved to not be it, she went no further. Some very serious blood work results were completely ignored by here and are just coming to my attention now after seeing other providers. And while she knows I have never been a fan of medication or the like, that is often all she has to recommend for most things that she did try to address. I used to appreciate Dr. Kern’s bedside manner, but it has become increasingly difficult over the years to make an appointment with her due to high demand and appointments have become incredibly rushed. Nobody looks at your chart pre-appt.

She is absolutely amazing! I’ve been seeing her for about 10 years and I’ve never had an issue with her! She’s always very friendly, great with kids, and always listens to your concerns. She’s very good about getting back to you in a timely matter and is great about explaining results. By far the best providers I’ve ever encountered in my life. She also has an amazing team of P.As, MAs, which always is a bonus!

Dr Kern is a great doctor. She listens to what you have to say and her exams are thorough. She looks at the whole and does not simply treat the symptom(s). I have had amazing medical care since I switched to her and am glad I did. It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment, but when I’ve had serious issues she will work me in. I also am pleased with the emessages, which are answered promptly. I would highly recommend Dr Kern!

I took my special needs child to this Dr. An intern was shadowing the Dr for the day. My child repeated a story she'd previously told the Dr to the intern who was typing. The Dr got short with my child & finished her story for her & then said, "RIGHT?" I could tell my child was choking back tears. We have a new Dr. Don't bring a mildly autistic child to a sports Dr from small town who needs to grow up. Message to K.Kern: ANYONE can have a special needs child.

Dr Kern is one of the best doctors I've ever been to. She never makes you feel like something isn't important and she never rushes you. She caring, compassionate, kind... I'm glad I switched to her last year.

She is the best doctor in this city - hands down. I had gone to another physician and had several misdiagnoses leading to some pretty severe life threatening consequences. She took the time to listen, ask questions and was able to manage my care to get me the best possible result. I should be paralyzed and in a coma from an embolism but thankfully I found Dr. Kern.

Very sweet, knowledgeable, and professional; she devotes to her patients all the time they need, and listens attentively, with a genuine interest. Her support staff could be a bit nicer and more compassionate, but Dr. Kern is well worth that minor inconvenience.

Dr. Kern is very knowledgeable, and more than willing to explain her thoughts regarding health concerns. She is also willing to discuss and explore options. I have recommended her to my friends in the area!

Dr. Kern is the best PCP out there! She helped to obtain the treatments I needed that saved my life twice in just 2014.
