This doctor refused to test my insulin levels to see if I was insulin resistant. Instead she wanted to waste time figuring out how many more units of insulin I should be taking. If I have a ton of insulin in me already why add more? When asked to run other tests to confirm other possible causes of high sugar, she refused again and said that even if we did find something different she wouldn't change her approach. She gave me the impression endocrinology is a guessing game
