I went to an ER that is in a hospital that is in network for my insurance. I received a bill for $600.00 from the hospital and a separate bill for almost $900.00 from Dr. Herbert. Apparently she is out of net work.I wasn't offered a different choice of doctor and assumed she was covered because she was the primary physician in the ER.I didn't ask for her.I had a 2nd degree burn on my hand.Was there for hours.The nurse applied a dressing to my hand and administered a pain medication orally.
