Dr. Kristin Sharar, MD

Dr Sharar hands down is one of the best doctors ever. She 100% is worth the wait. She is tentative & caring, honest and realistic.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sharar’s for several years and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Her kindness, compassion, empathy and professionalism are rare to find in the medical field these days. On top of being a complete pro in her field, her bedside manner and sweet and down to earth demeanor make it a pleasure to see her. I’ve moved since starting to see her years ago and I still happily travel the extra 25 mins to see her every year. She’s the best and I could not recommend Dr. Sharar more highly!

Dr. Sharar is a god send! I recently switched to her care after not having great experiences with other obgyns and couldn’t be happier. She’s extremely friendly, and started off with getting to know me more personally. She takes the time to talk to her patients and actually cares about what you have to say. I have been trying to get to the bottom of some issues for years and she is the first doctor to actually care enough to get involved and discuss options/push for further diagnostics. My goal was to establish a relationship with a doctor I could see delivering my children in the near future, and that’s exactly what I accomplished. I would recommend her to any family or friends based off of the first visit alone!

Dr. Sharar is wonderful, I recommend her to all my friends and family. She is one of the best in West Islip and I am lucky to be under her care.

I gave major anxiety and my first session with Dr. Sharar put me at absolute ease. She is truly gifted and she makes sure you are comfortable and in control of your own health. She is very knowledgable and makes sure you're well- informed on all options. Most importantly, she treats you like a human and she's very gentle. It's a blessing to have a doctor get to know you as a person and respect your body/ space as if you were family.

The best doctor you could ask for. I have had a lot of endometriosis issues, Dr. Sharar has done everything she possibly could do. Including sitting me down and making me feel at ease. Dr. Sharar makes you feel like you have known her for years. i hate giving her name because I don't want to share her hahaha, but it would be a mistake for anyone not to go to Dr. Sharar. Love her!

Dr Sharar delivered both of my babies. I can’t imagine either birth experience without her as my doctor. She is a brilliant physician and her bedside manner is extraordinary. I can’t say enough good things about her as a person and doctor. She will hold your hand through the most vulnerable thing a woman goes through. I trust her implicitly, and she always made me feel like I was the most important patient there. I will always be grateful I had the honor if her delivering my kids.

I visited Dr. Sharar for the first time today and she is very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. She was very informative and attentive to my needs and answered all my questions. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend her.

I love Dr. Sharar. I recently had a miscarriage and she was the Dr I spoke to at my follow up. She made me feel at ease and put me into a positive mood during a very negative time. She actually sat down and took the time to talk to me unlike other Drs. where I have felt rushed and often given "textbook" talking points. I recommend Dr. Sharar to anyone looking for a competent, professional and warm OBGYN.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Dr.Sharar is. She truly takes the time to know you as a person and makes you feel extremely comfortable. To fully trust a doctor is a warm feeling. Every question i asked was answered and with full detail. I highly recommend her as a doctor. I recently moved to CT and still driving back to see her!!!

Prior to giving birth I actually never met Dr Sharar. I was a patient at South Bay throughout my whole pregnancy, but it just worked out that I always got one of the other drs. I was induced at 38 weeks due to low fluid levels and sharar couldn’t have helped me more. She was super patient and set realistic expectations. Under her care, I was able to push my daughter out in just 10 minutes. Not to mention she’s super nice with great bedside manner! I’d recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Sharar is FANTASTIC! Went above & beyond for me and my family during routine visits & delivery. I was overdue with concerns about the baby size/progress. She explained all my options thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable with any decisions we made together as a team. She set realistic expectations for me and that put me at ease. Her advice and professionalism is outstanding, and her medical decisions are research-driven. I LOVE her, I should have named the baby after her!

Love Dr. Sharar! Wouldn't go to anyone else! Very attentive, patient and caring. Takes her time with you and doesn't rush. Addresses all of your concerns. Had some complications towards the end of my pregnancy and everything ended up going smoothly thanks to her.

I am new to Suffolk County and was recommended to South Bay by my mother in law. Dr. Sharar was great through my pregnancy and I really felt she listened especially to my wish for a natural birth but unfortunately I feel she dropped the ball on my delivery. Because it was my first baby and I had no prior experience I trusted her decision to induce me at only 2 days past my due date, which led to an emergency section where I bled out and went into cardiac arrest. Do your homework & research.

I love her so much she is an amazing dr and person and I recommend her to anyone who is trying to have kids or is . I wish i had her for my first pregnancy! On my second and the experience ive had is just amazing SHE IS THE BEST!
