Unprofessional and dismissive
My daughter has her New Patient appointment and first GYN visit with a doctor. Dr McLean spent all of 5 minutes with her which included the exam. She dismissed my daughter’s concerns and didn’t give her a chance to ask questions. As a young woman you should not leave your first visit with a professional female doctor feeling belittled and insufficient. Disgusted!!

Great experience! Honestly best I’ve ever had in the past 17 years I’ve been seeing ObGyn’s. Everyone in the office is so nice and you feel at home the minute you walk in the door. Very pleasant experience! Would Highly recommendation Dr. McLean she was extremely thorough in all explanations and gave all options and the benefits and disadvantages to each option etc. She is great!

I had an IUD inserted by Dr. McLean in August. If you don’t have any special medical needs addressed, this is a nice place. I have always had issues with menstrual regularity, and issues indicating a hormone imbalance became much more apparent once I switched to an IUD. At an appointment in October, I tried to discuss concerns I had that could have indicated hyperandrogenism. I was quickly dismissed by the nurse, and I didn’t even really get to discuss my concerns with Dr. McLean. Apparently they didn’t think I had the right symptoms to signify a problem. My entire Pap smear was filled with discussion on my approach to nutrition and weight, making an already awkward procedure even more so. After almost a year of pursuing my worsening condition elsewhere, I have finally been diagnosed with PCOS by an endocrinologist. If this had been at least slightly entertained as a possibility during my appointment, I may have been able to get a diagnosis much sooner.

Impersonal, in my case, judgmental. Newly married, but I only 20yo. DH was 29 at the time. Pregnant with my 1st & only child. (Was proven to be my only window in life to conceive naturally.)5 mnths trying, A LOT of reading and obsessively watching all the baby/mom shows. I was tracking my ovulation and taking prenatal vitamins AND separate prenatal omega formula. By the time she left the room I had gone from joyous and excited to frustrated and embarrassed. Replacement OBGYN was amazing.

Made the initial appt for infertility, discussed some plans and testing for it in the office. Week later after blood work, I get a call saying the labs showed my thyroid was off (I have Hashimotos which I treat with my PCP),they sent a prescription in before talking to me. Synthroid reacts badly with my body. I left messages for nurses telling them this with no response. I later tried to make an appt to talk about possible endometriosis & was told i couldn't till I made a black or white decision

I've been seeing dr. mclean for 7+ years now and she has literally saved my life. I ended up with an unexpected difficult delivery pine in which my life as well as my baby's life was in jeopardy. She personally handled the difficult situation with ease and with the best bedside manner at a level which is unexpected from anyone except my own mother whom i love dearly. I am very impressed and highly recommend her.

Dr. McLean is always very welcoming, friendly but mostly professional. She made several attempts to try resolution with my severe endometriosis. After it hadn't gotten better, she didn't prolong and try any other options, she advised that I needed a hysterectomy. Upon my surgery, she found that my uterus had attached to my colon and that could have been dangerous. I'm thankful for her knowledge and guidance.

Dr McLean and her office staff are extremely personable and friendly. I've never felt rushed out of the office and no matter the issue, big or small, I've always felt relevant and taken care of. She's the reason I have my son and for that alone I will always recommend her and her office.

Dr. McLean makes you feel at ease as she talks and when I talk she takes the time to listen. Previous person may have had a bad day and is not happy within anyone per her comments. She is a Dr. and is truthful and we may not want to hear certain things about ourselves that we can't admit are true. I look forward to going in September as she always takes time with each patient and is a caring physician. The office staff is great to and always concerned and caring.
