Dr. Kristoffer Wong, DO

I really wanted to not be like the other reviews and was hoping my case would be the exception. Unfortunately, I was not. I really liked Dr. Wong and wanted him to do my surgery. When I went to see him in April, he said “let’s get this done in the next couple of weeks”. His office staff could not handle anything. 8 weeks and 26 voicemails to their office later, they had still not called to schedule my surgery. I sent multiple messages on the patient portal, left messages begging them to call me. It didn’t matter, they were never going to get ahold of me and nothing was going to change that. I switched to someone in Lapeer and they were so on top of things. I had my surgery 2 days ago. As of today, their office has STILL not called to schedule my surgery, they have no idea I switched and already got my surgery. I have no idea how their office continues to run like this. It is sad for Dr. Wong, because he seemed like a great surgeon. It is too bad his office staff cannot get it together.

Was referred to him. Was told to bring copy of my X-rays,My Dr sent him my info and history. Dr Wong told me the equipment was down and could not review it with me. I asked if he look at my Dr's notes. He did not. So he examined and explained what I had and the Surgery and getting prior approval from Insurance. 2 weeks later His office called and asked if I brought a copy of x-rays like I was asked. I said yes Dr Wong had them and could not view. Was told they could not locate them. 1 week later I called, still did not fund them. I asked if I could send anther set. Was told no I sent a e-mail to locate them. Waited another week, person was not in office. I received approval from Insurance and called again. Staff was RUDE and said NO. I filed a complaint with PT. Affairs of what was going on. 3 Days later Staff called and informed me nothing he could do. 2 weeks later my x-rays was requested by his office. Why? If he already looked them. No answers from staff. STAY AWAY.

I was referred to Dr Wong for gallbladder removal. His office staff were polite and I was immediately called back to the exam room. In a few short minutes Dr Wong came in and introduced himself. He was kind, and explained everything about my surgery in detail. He came to visit me in the pre-op room to make sure I was comfortable and understood the process of surgery day. His office called me the next morning to check on my pain levels and to make an appointment for my post-surgical visit. Again, little to no wait. I learned Dr Wong also repairs hernias and performs weight loss surgeries. I would not hesitate to send my loved ones to him. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying I have been having health issues ignored by doctors for years.. Brushed off or put on pills that didn't work. I was referred to Dr. Wong and his staff got me right in! Within a week of my appointment I was scheduled for a robotic laproscopic cholecystectomy (Gallbladder removal). They are doing another procedure next week to make sure there is nothing else causing my issues. The surgery staff and hospital staff at Hurley were wonderful. They even cut my three bandages into heart shapes. Seriously could not have asked for a better experience. Looking forward to finding more answers and Healing! Thank you Dr. Wong! And thank you to your Amazing staff, both in your office and your team at Hurley!

My first interaction with Dr. Wong was when he called me “the burn face guy” in the hallway loudly before walking in. After walking in he took two steps said oh okay yeah that’s bad , then walked out. That was the extent of his interaction with me. When I asked to speak with him for follow up questions he said “oh that face burn guy wants to talk again, What does he want.” Worst doctor I’ve ever been too, told me he didn’t have time to sit with me because he has a lot of patients. No clarification of diagnosis, no follow up procedures, no empathy, he absolutely did not care about my treatment at all. Didn’t tell me about the long term prognosis and what the burn will look like or even what degree it is. Try not to go here if you can, the office staff is very nice but the doctor sucks, you can tell he just views patients and dollar signs.

Dr. Wong stepped in and took great care of me. The whole process was smooth and the surgical staff along with his office staff were fantastic to work with. Highly recommended!

He is a great doctor. He has done two surgeries on me. Both with a awesome turn out. I would highly recommended him. He is very caring, outgoing and is good at what he does. Becki Freeland Michigan
