He misdiagnosed and dismissed me when in the hospital, was judgmental about my very serious symptoms- he gave me a very bad reputation that made it almost impossible to have any ER dr take me seriously at SMH. I almost died from an internal rupture. I had to go to a different hospital system to get procedures and correct diagnosis with urology /Nuerologist

Excellent Care
Excellent care! Went in with AFIB, he was the attending Physician in ER. Explained things clearly, answered all questions. Excellent Demeanor.

My father came in with breathing issues and ended up spending a full week in the hospital. Dr. Bonilla was the Hospitalist we dealt with during most of that stay. We found him to be patient and informative while answering our many questions as well as really taking the time to throughly examine my father each time he was here. We felt very fortunate to have him as one of our doctors.

Dr Bonilla was the Hospitalist at SMH the day I was in ER. He told me I had had a heart attack which was NOT true. Although my symptoms snd lab work appeared like I had a heart attack even the cardiologist on call did not tell me it was one. He was waiting to see what my heart Cath showed. Sure enough I did NOT have a heart attack. Dr Bonilla does not know my medical history and should never have flat out told me I had a heart attack!
