I stopped seeing Dr. Naing after he missed melanoma. I saw him twice and he wouldn’t refer me. The lesion had all the ABCDs the second time. I showed the lesion to my ophthalmologist and he said I better get it looked at. I then called Dr. Naing office and demanded a referral. Because of the delay I had to have a wide excision and a node biopsy. Luckily I didn’t listen to him.

Dr. Naing is a faculty at SIU School of Medicine and supervising residents. I had to make demand to get a referral to see a specialist/surgeon and have a colonoscopy to verify my suspicion in cancer. The resident brushed off (even after getting his advice) all the evidence brought out in feces color & size and perpetual fatigue. He insisted that all these led to the results of hemorrhoid, instead of colon cancer. Without my insistence, I would not have been diagnosed to have stage IIIC colon!
