Highly knowledgable and efficient
Dr Pho knows her stuff. She found a very abnormal cancer that I wouldn't have even known was an issue. I have come to her for about 10 years now, following her wherever in the state she was. I feel like she hears exactly what my concerns are, and is very thorough in skin checks so nothing is missed. Her level of thoroughness brings me a lot of peace of mind. While she is efficient with her time, I have never felt anything other than heard and well attended to.

She was dismissive, I was rushed. She spent less than 5 minutes with me and promptly left the room. Sent me away with a printout explaining skin bumps.

Not trustworthy
As a patient accompanied by a family member, we found Dr. Pho to be a poor listener, condescending, oppositional, and constantly talking over either of us. She seemed to enjoy hearing herself talk and doing so while she worked at a super fast pace that made it impossible to have any meaningful interaction with her. She demonstrated no respect for either of us. Her demeanor was one of self importance with plenty of defensiveness added in. We made a mistake choosing to make an appointment with Dr. Pho. She is not trustworthy.

Did not prepare me for invasive exam
I was told I was making a 6 month followup on arm where she had successfully removed tumor. I got to 2nd exam and was told to strip to underwear and put on gown. When she came in, she briefly looked at arm, said it healed beautifully, then looked at and touched every part of my body without warning, asking or me being aware she was going to do so. She even removed the gown for a time, moved my underwear around my genitals for visual inspection and then did the same to the back of my underwear and I felt her fingers pry my buttocks apart briefly. I'm a sex assault survivor and all of this put me in a really bad place. JH SLC

Lacked empathy, concern, and no help given
Felt like after waiting months for an appointment that any concern I had was dismissed. Felt rushed. No empathy. Will never return to this physician and strongly do not recommend.

Fake listening, rushed, no empathy
The appointment was rushed. Her demeanor wasn’t authentic, multiple times she pointed me to printouts instead of answering my questions like a professional / expert that I was expecting to see. Felt zero empathy from her. Gave me basic information that I was already aware of or could easily find myself. Used excessive and unnecessary analogies to explain concepts like I wasn’t an adult capable of processing information. Waste of time.

Dr. Pho is an amazing dermatologist. She is knowledgeable and up to date, personable, and incredibly helpful when it comes to finding the right treatment, then working with insurance to get the treatment underway. I suffer from psoriasis and it is so incredible to have it under control for the first time in many years.
