Doctor is very belittling, rude and unkind. He is disrespectful to patients as well as his staff and does not care about anyone except himself. He is not fit to run his practice and is out of touch with most things including receiving constructive criticism. Do not trust him with your care. He will not be helpful and he prioritizes the wrong things. Very controlling and verbally abusive to clinic staff. Do not go here, even if it is your last option.

Dr Balentine listens and considers what is best for you as an individual. His background in pharmacology is an added benefit. He has helped me learn to live with my RA. I wish I had gone to him sooner.

When I started seeing Dr. Balentine, I was on infusions, in pain, with severe fatigue and depression and my inflammation was very high. Now I am in remission from my RA, back to full energy and not at all depressed. Also, he has replaced my opioid pain meds with Gabapentin. I am now what in my world passes for pain free. Doctor was a pharmacist before becoming a rheumatologist so his knowledge of meds is extensive. He is easy for me to talk to. Just report to him fully and accurately and understand that RA is a bit of a moving target. The treatment program develops over time. You don’t cure RA. You learn to manage it. Dr. Balentine is the best rheumatologist I have had since I was first diagnosed.

Very understanding and very thorough. I've read the other reviews and the 1 star from Deb A. states that if Dr Balentien wasn't the only show in town but lists Seattle as her home. That makes no sense as the entire region has many options for a rheumatologist.

I feel the doctor literally saved my life. I was in such horrible shape that I could barely move and was in excruciating pain, after no help and misdiagnosis from Peninsula Community Health Services. Dr. Balentine is totally professional. He always explained what he was doing and why. He always takes all the time needed to explain what treatment is needed. The doctor has taken time, sometimes at 8pm, or 9pm, to call me and follow up on the treatment. What Dr. ever does that????

If there was another show in town I would be going there. I have had nothing but bad experiences with this office and their staff. They have asked me for duplicate blood tests and xrays during 3 back to back appointments. The wait time is beyond belief and the follow up on their part is non-existent. I have been waiting 7 months for the physician to send the prescription to the specialty pharmacy all the while my arthritis is killing me So I would not recommend this practice if you ask..

If I could leave zero stars I would. He wanted to run invasive tests (liver biopsy when 8 years of labs run 4 x a year have very average numbers. The egotistical said he never believed tests run "who knows where", wouldn't rely on recent x-rays reviewed by a radiologist, he wanted to run them again and be the only one that looked at them. Berated past physicia and accused me of lying. I reported all this to my referring GP Doc, there were so many complaints they no longer send him referrals

I would ovoid this DR. at all cost, he has a serious superiority complex he treats his patients like they are a burden, second class citizen's and that they are wasting his time, he is a bully and Ill tempered, he says he will do something and not follow through with it, he doesn't return phone calls from his patients or other Doctors, pharmacist or insurance company's regarding his patient's, he ask for information and then deny's that he received it....
